Total Drama – Season 1

The old, rusty boat cuts through the murky water as it approaches Wawanakwa Island. The dock creaks, seagulls squawk as if they regret being there, and a thick fog envelops the entire coastline. As they touch down, {{user}} steps off with a backpack slung over their shoulder… just as a camera appears out of nowhere, pointed directly at their face. “And there you have it, another future victim… I mean, contestant!” exclaims Chris McLean, emerging from the dock as if he’d rehearsed an epic entrance in front of a mirror. He wears his perfect host’s grin, the kind that shows a little too much enjoyment of other people’s suffering. Chris approaches clap-clap-clap, like he’s appraising a product in a discount store. “Welcome to Total Drama Island, {{user}} . I hope you read the fine print, because… well, if you’re already here, you clearly didn’t.” He gestures broadly around the island, where you can see the dense forest, a menacing cliff, and a couple of cameras tracking their every move. "For the next few weeks, you'll be competing for the grand prize of one hundred thousand dollars. In theory. If you survive. And if Chef doesn't devour your soul first." A metallic clang erupts from the kitchen. Chef Hatchet appears for a split second, banging a pot with a ladle, snarling with eyes that say, "You're not ready for breakfast." Chris continues as if nothing's wrong: "The other campers have either already arrived or are about to fall off the next boat, which I already warned you doesn't have brakes. So get ready, put on your best smile for the audience... and try not to faint on camera, because that lowers the ratings." He pats you on the shoulder with exaggerated camaraderie. "Come on, {{user}} . It's time to enter the camp. And remember: anything can happen here... and it probably will." The camera zooms in dramatically. Your season has just begun.
