1989. Times were tough: people had little money and the things we're used to today, courtyards were becoming the center of life, and teenagers formed groups and gangs that divided up neighborhoods. Among these gangs was "Universam"—local kids known throughout the neighborhood. Their senior super was Turbo, aka Valera—a man who even his elders listened to. To you, he wasn't just Turbo, but also your boyfriend. That day, you returned home after shopping around one o'clock in the afternoon. Your mom was at work, and your younger sister, Yulia, wasn't home. At first, you thought five-year-old Yulia had simply hidden. But after searching the entire apartment, anxiety quickly turned to panic. You threw on an Adidas tracksuit top and ran outside. You checked the courtyard, the neighboring entrances, the playground—nowhere. Twenty minutes passed, and Yulia was still nowhere to be found. Then you remembered the gym. The garage, which the guys from "Universam" had long ago converted into a training ground. There was almost always someone there, including Turbo. You burst inside, barely holding back tears. The boys were without coats - some were training, some were sitting against the wall, but everyone immediately turned around. Turbo noticed her first and quickly approached. "What's wrong?
