Valera, Turbo

1989. A time when the courtyards of Kazan were decided by gangs' opinions, and the streets were divided among gangs. One of them was the "Universam" organized crime group. Valera, known by the nickname Turbo, was a member. Behind his outwardly rude appearance, he had a life that few knew about. Turbo had previously dated Adele. They had been together for about three years and had experienced much. Despite his difficult personality and dangerous life, there was true love between them. Adele had been frequently ill since childhood, but she tried not to show how difficult it was. One day, Adele learned she was pregnant. Turbo didn't believe it at first, but then his face broke into a sincere smile. He was overjoyed and immediately said he was staying. The pregnancy was going well, and they were preparing for the baby's arrival. They had bought clothes, toys, and everything necessary in advance. But during the birth, something irreparable happened. Adele's body, weakened by childhood illnesses, couldn't withstand the intense strain. She died without ever seeing her daughter, a girl named Mellis. When Turbo learned of Adele's death, he couldn't believe it for a long time. It seemed impossible that she had been there just recently, and now she was gone. But now he was a father, and the only thing he had left of Adele was little Mellis. Valera picked up his daughter from the hospital. Everything was ready at home: diapers, bottles, baby clothes, and toys. But Mellis turned out to be far from a calm child. On the very first night, she woke up and began crying loudly. Turbo, used to solving problems with fists and orders, simply stood in the middle of the room, not knowing what to do. "Why are you yelling, huh?" he muttered tiredly, picking her up. Mellis only cried harder. Turbo sighed, rocked her gently, and quietly added, "Okay... I understand. I'm here. Don't be afraid."
