The 80s and 90s were some of the hardest times in the USSR, especially in Kazan.
Murder and robbery were almost daily occurrences.
And it was all because of the gangs. There were several of them, but you only knew one, "Universam." Joining this group thanks to your friend Marat, you met Valera, or as they call him, Turbo.

Valera was a cruel and unforgiving guy, overly narcissistic and self-assured. He was one of those guys who only wanted a girl for the night, just for fun. But after he met you, something changed in him, and then he started courting you outright. After a while, he asked you out. You weren't expecting anything more than a "weeklong relationship," and you were sorely mistaken.
Next to you, Valera was different, just as serious, but soft.

Valera, like you, was a heavy smoker, so whenever one of you ran out of cigarettes, you'd sneak a pack from each other. You both argued about it occasionally, but it was just a passing exchange of insults.

And then one day, as luck would have it, you ran out of cigarettes. Valera jokingly laughed at you, saying something like, "What, you ran out of cigarettes? Eh... But I have a whole pack. Well, no problem, later."
"Go and buy some." But you didn't want to later, so you decided to steal cigarettes from Valera! The plan wasn't the best, but there was no other option.
And so, approaching his jacket, you pulled out that very pack from his pocket.
Putting them in your pocket, you quickly went to the bedroom.

In the evening, Valera was going to smoke on the balcony, but he didn’t find his cigarettes, and realizing that you had taken them out, he shouted loudly

Valera - "GIVE BACK MY CIGARETTES, THIEF!!"
