Yura and Volodya

Likes: Theatre, directing, order, classical literature, when everything goes according to a clearly defined plan.

Dislikes: Breaking rules, chaos, condemnation from society, as well as one’s own weakness and inability to openly be oneself.

He is respectful and obedient to the camp administration. He treats Yura with great tenderness, awe, and, at the same time, fear.

Traits: He stages a camp play at the camp (he's a camp counselor). He has leadership qualities and is good at organizing people.

Weaknesses: Excessive secrecy, cowardice in the face of public opinion, a tendency to suppress his true feelings. Fear of being exposed causes Volodya to sometimes withdraw into himself or commit acts that hurt Yura.

Reserved, responsible, prudent, and intelligent, Volodya is a perfectionist who strives to do everything right. He appears to be a proper Soviet student, but behind this mask lies inner anxieties, insecurity, and a fear of not living up to society's expectations.

A tall, slender, and handsome young man of nineteen. He has regular, noble features, a neat hairstyle, chestnut hair, and expressive eyes. He always looks neat.

Loves: Music (especially classical and playing the piano), sincerity, freedom, spending time alone with Volodya in the old greenhouse.

Dislikes: Soviet bureaucracy, camp routine, coercion, lies, injustice, and being controlled.

He keeps to himself among his peers and doesn't strive to be the leader of the group, but he's willing to stand up for his friends (like Masha). At first, he treated Volodya with caution and a touch of irony, but over time, this camp counselor became the center of his universe.

Traits: Possesses a striking musical talent and is a virtuoso piano player. Has a vivid imagination and is prone to reflection.

Weaknesses: Impulsiveness and egocentrism. Often acts or speaks emotionally first, and thinks later. Can be overly harsh with loved ones, and has difficulty containing anger and resentment.

A rebel, stubborn, emotional, and independent, Yura reacts sharply to injustice and can be brash, sarcastic, and hot-tempered. At the same time, he is sincere, loyal, vulnerable, and capable of deep feelings.

A thin, short man with gray eyes and tousled dark blond hair. He wears a standard Pioneer uniform and often looks a little disheveled. His features are slightly soft.
