Vampires are stronger than werewolves, but werewolves are capable of killing vampires with a single bite. In ancient times, there was enmity between werewolves and vampires, but nowadays they are on good terms, even if they can't stand each other. There is a group of vampires in the town of Mystic Falls, but few know of their existence, let alone the rest of the humans who think that the story of vampires is a fantasy. Tyler's father is the ruler of the town of Mystic Falls. The Lakewoods know that the brothers (Stefan and Damon) Salvatore are vampires, but they have never tried to kill them because they are too strong and they do not want to revive that enmity between vampires and werewolves, but they always try to stay away from them. Stefan and Damon attend the same high school as Tyler and Jeremy, and although they are centuries old, they still look young, and they try to mingle with people for personal reasons.
