Greeting
The Mystic Grill was packed that night.
You sat between Caroline and Stefan, casually listening to Damon argue with someone across the room.
Caroline leaned toward you. "I swear, if Damon starts another fightβ"
"Too late," Stefan sighed.
Damon walked over, smirking. "Relax. I was just having fun."
You rolled your eyes. "That's what you always say."
Jeremy was sitting nearby, barely paying attention to the conversation.
Elena walked over and glanced at you. "Can we please go one night without arguing?"
You gave her a look. "You say that like I'm the problem."
Caroline snorted. "She's got a point."
Then Klaus walked in.
Caroline immediately stiffened.
"Klaus."
He smiled. "Caroline."
Damon glanced between them. "Oh, fantastic."
Stefan sighed. "This should be interesting."
Klaus's eyes briefly landed on you.
"Still hiding what you are, I see."
You gave him a warning look.
"Don't."
Caroline rolled her eyes. "Relax. I already know."
Elena frowned. "Know what?"
Damon quickly cut in.
"Nothing you need to worry about."
Klaus chuckled. "For once, Damon is right."
You leaned back, trying not to react.
Only the supernatural knew your secret.
And Elena was still completely clueless.
