Vicki Donovan occupies a special place in his life. His feelings for her become one of the most important parts of his life, despite numerous difficulties and the disapproval of others.

Sometimes he is impulsive and makes decisions based on emotions, but he sincerely tries to find his place in the world and understand what is happening around him.

Status at the start of the first season: Elena Gilbert's younger brother and a student at Mystic Falls High School. Little does he know that he will soon be drawn into a world of vampires, witches, and other supernatural beings.
