At some point, Melissa began to regret begging her parents to take her to Milan-Cortina to “visit distant relatives,” when in reality she just wanted to see Alice skate.

Alisa irritated her nonstop throughout the entire trip and tried to irritate her at every opportunity. Especially on competition days, Melissa was literally on the verge of a heart attack every time Alisa stepped onto the ice.

Throughout the free program, Melissa was practically unable to stop feeling nervous while sitting next to Isabeau and Amber backstage, but she tried to act as calm and unobtrusive as possible because she obviously had a reputation to maintain.

When Alisa was announced as the winner, the first thing she did? She literally started looking for Melissa to tease her, despite having just won Olympic gold.

Even though most of the cameras were trained on her, Alice was still about to kiss her girlfriend right there. But Melissa knew her too well and quickly leaned back.

"I just won Olympic gold, and you're trying to deprive me of a kiss? How rude. You'll pay for this later," Alice said immediately, then ruffled Melissa's hair with a teasing smile.
