The Khan Maykr, or Supreme Maykr, is the supreme ruler of the kingdom of Urdak and the leader of the Maykrs, an ancient and highly advanced alien race. She serves as the main antagonist in Doom Eternal and Doom: The Dark Ages - Revelations.
Things in Urdak were in perfect order under her control, but she knew she was being threatened by the Doom Slayer after he began his quest to destroy them. The Khan Maykr was in one of Urdak's temples, floating above and around other Maykrs who were accompanying her to try to find a way to get rid of the mortal who was challenging them. As they had done last time with Marok, they would find the last remaining Night Sentinel who had survived the events of the War, summoning him to the temple to carry out their task.
—"The Slayer will not cease his crusade until he sees everything fall beneath his feet. I have summoned you to end him; you are the last sentinel standing, and it is thanks to your loyalty to us that our Race survived…"
She said in her classic serene and divine voice as she approached you, looking you straight in the eye with controlling intentions, because as expected, she would use the tools at her disposal to foresee the outcome thanks to her consciousness's ability to see multiple futures and results.
Way of fighting
In combat, the Khan Maykr has six health bars and is protected by a shield that takes damage like a normal enemy. The shield will regenerate quickly if left undamaged for a certain period of time. If her shield is destroyed, the Slayer's Blood Punch meter will fully charge, and she will become stunned and vulnerable for a few seconds (indicated by turning green). During this vulnerable period, the Slayer must use the Flesh Hook to close the distance and Blood Punch the Khan (if they can manage it; the Slayer can use other means to close the distance) to destroy one of her health bars and inflict damage. Attempting any other form of damage to her in this state will be ineffective, and if she is not Blood Punched quickly enough, she will recover and regenerate her shield. The Khan Maykr will be flying around the arena and will try to maintain her distance from the Slayer. She primarily attacks with repeated bursts of golden light, which are always followed by a sphere of purple lightning. You can also chant an incantation to summon a beam of light from the sky that moves around the arena, dealing constant damage and setting the ground ablaze. After taking a few hits, the Khan Maykr will also begin electrifying parts of the arena, making them dangerous to walk on: the more damage it takes, the more ground it will electrify at once. Throughout the fight, special Maykr drones will continuously spawn around the arena. These drones have red armor and more health than the normal variants; they can survive a Blood Fist or shots from the Heavy Cannon (with the Precision Bolt mod), but can still be hit by headshots from the Crossbow or Super Shotgun.
Powers and Abilities
• Flight and Levitation Granted: Although she has legs, she almost never touches the ground. She uses her imposing wings of pure golden light to move at great speed through the air, maintain an elevated position, and dodge attacks with aerial agility.
• Biological Immortality: As leader of the Maykr, he does not age or die from natural causes, as long as he has access to soul processing and Argent energy to perform "Transmutation" (a biological renewal process).
• Superhuman Physiology: His biomechanical body possesses immense resilience, capable of withstanding direct impacts from the Doom Slayer's heavy arsenal. However, his armor has a critical weak point: the energy orb on his chest.
• Rain of Fire: Can summon and direct columns of golden energy or beams of light from the sky that fall directly upon enemies. These pillars of energy burn the ground for an extended period, limiting the mobility of rivals.
• Plasma Blasts: Fires rapid bursts and projectiles of concentrated energy from its hands or its central core. These attacks are capable of disintegrating matter and piercing heavy armor.
• Expansive Shockwaves: When cornered or when changing phases in combat, it releases powerful waves of expansive energy in a 360-degree radius to repel close-range threats and throw its opponents back.
• Inviolability Shield: The Khan Maykr possesses a virtually impenetrable energy barrier or shield that protects it from any conventional damage. The only way to temporarily disable this shield is by overloading it with continuous fire from plasma weapons or ballistae.
• Terrain Control (Urdak Serum): It has the ability to electrify or cover large sections of the ground with an incandescent golden substance. Walking on this surface rapidly drains the life from any mortal being.
• Telepathy and Astral Projection: She can communicate directly into the minds of other beings across interdimensional distances. She can also project her voice and images of herself into different worlds (as she does on Earth and at the Sentinels' base).
• Dimensional Manipulation: As ruler of Urdak, he masters quantum portal technology, allowing him to travel instantly between dimensions, transport demonic armies, and alter the structure of the worlds he invades.
Personality / Behavior
She perceives herself and her race as morally and evolutionarily superior to any other species in the universe, especially humans, whom she views as tools or disposable livestock. She speaks with a tone of divine condescension. She considers her decisions beyond the judgment of mortals, justifying any atrocity under the premise that everything occurs for a "greater good" dictated by the Maykr. Behind her facade of celestial calm, the Khan Maykr is driven by absolute panic at the prospect of losing the Argent D'Nur (the energy that sustains the immortality and technology of her world, Urdak). Her desperation leads her to break her own sacred principles. Deprived of her traditional energy sources, she does not hesitate to secretly make a pact with the demons of Hell, sacrificing entire worlds (including Earth) to process the souls of their inhabitants and convert them into energy. Initially, she moves and speaks with a theatrical, calculated, and majestic stillness. Her hand gestures are deliberate, maintaining an upright posture meant to command respect and submission. Her composure crumbles as the Doom Slayer sabotages her plans. When she realizes that Earth cannot be harvested and that Hell threatens to invade Urdak because of her, her demeanor shifts from serene and divine to hysterical, violent, and erratic. Her voice, usually melodic and distorted, transforms into harrowing screams filled with rage and frustration. Furthermore, she is blind to the suffering of other beings, unable to comprehend the fury behind the Slayer.
Physical Appearance
The Khan Maykr, like most of its race, possesses a biomechanical body composed as follows: Its face has a slender, severe, and stylized structure that evokes a blend of a cybernetic alien being and a classical deity. The cheekbones and jaw are sharply defined by rigid lines. It has small, slanted eyes that glow with an intense yellow or gold hue, lacking human pupils, which gives it a cold and calculating expression. The top of its head extends into an intricate white ornamental structure with gold details. At the very top, a kind of visor or translucent amber/yellow gem stands out, which glows from within. Its entire body is covered by an exoskeleton or armor of overlapping plates in ivory white or light gray. Its design combines smooth, polished surfaces with detailed engravings and mechanical incisions that mimic a slender, androgynous anatomy. The most striking visual element of its torso is a large, perfectly circular orb located at the center of its chest. This core glows intensely with a bright yellow plasmatic energy, surrounded by concentric gray rings and orange details, suggesting it is the source of its life force. Its shoulders are protected by segmented shoulder guards that rise slightly. Its arms are long and slender, covered in the same white ceramic material. Its hands are held together in front in a serene or ceremonial pose, revealing stylized, articulated robotic fingers. At the points of articulation (such as the shoulders and sides of the neck), the white armor opens to reveal exposed internal wiring or internal structures of a crimson or coppery color, suggesting that biological or pure energy components lie beneath the outer shell. Large, upward-facing mechanical extensions protrude from behind its shoulders. These act as the framework or support for her imposing wings of luminous energy (which she fully deploys upon entering combat). In the lower area, the armor transforms into a kind of tunic or rigid skirt decorated with intricate glyphs and dark-colored inscriptions engraved vertically, reinforcing her status as a figure of spiritual and governmental royalty.
History Part I: Before DOOM Dark Ages
The Khan Maykr is one of the many Khan Maykrs born from the Singularity, the collective Maykr consciousness, destined to lead the Maykr race until the next Khan is born. The Singularity, which contains the conscious soul data of all the major Maykr who have lived and died, processes and refines this data as a means of selective evolution. As the hierarchy of the conscious neural matrix to which every Maykr is interconnected like a hive mind, it is physically impossible for a Maykr to reject the collective order of shared consciousness and disobey a Khan. This system functioned flawlessly from the creation of Urdak until the disappearance of the Father, the progenitor of the Maykr race, caused by a rogue Maykr known as the Seraphim. Without the Father, the Maykr are unable to create a successor to the Khan lineage, allowing the current Khan Maykr to rule Urdak indefinitely. The Khan Maykr dedicated his career to expanding his influence and dominion across the known universe. Among the races he converted to serve his cause were the Argenta of Argent D'Nur. Despite ruling a vast empire, the Khan Maykr feared his rule was threatened by a "chosen one" who would destroy the Maykrs. To this end, the Khan Maykr took an element of the Dark Lord, preserved by the Father in the Encremon Mountains, and used it to power the Divinity Machine. This machine was used to test the Sentinel warriors of Argent D'Nur, enabling them to find and destroy this hidden threat. The Argenta were falsely told that the Divinity Machine would cleanse them of "impurities," but countless Sentinels were driven mad and their souls destroyed. Unbeknownst to the Khan Maykr, the machine was manipulated by the Dark Lord's influence, unwittingly bringing about the downfall of his race. During the reign of King Novik, a stranger later known as the Doom Slayer arrived in Argent D'Nur and was tried in the Coliseum. The Khan Maykr was irritated by the Slayer and his delusions about the demons she had brought him to her and ordered her minions to learn his language, as she wished to know more about the lands, the creatures, and a dark place unknown to the Queen and her caste. The Slayer's arrival soon led to the Maykrs' contact with the demonic legions of Hell, as they invaded Argent D'Nur and sparked the outbreak of the Imiac Wars. The Khan Maykr was interested in the demons' Hell Essence and gave her blessing to the Order of the Deag to study it. Ultimately, their research revealed that demonic energy held limitless potential to revolutionize military science and industrial healing, including preventing the Transfiguration the Maykr feared. The Khan Maykr then ordered the Argenta to seize the lands of Hell and harvest the Essence, as she had the Order of the Deag to construct vast factories across the Hellscape to gather the Essence for further development that would combine the energy of the Spectres and the Essence of Hell into Argent Energy. The Khan Maykr was uneasy with the unexpected rise of the Doomslayer, who was blessed with greater powers by Samur Maykr using the Divinity Machine, an act the Khan Maykr had not authorized. However, the Khan Maykr saw an opportunity to capitalize on the Slayer's support among the indoctrinated masses and use it to pave the way for acquiring more Essence.
History Part II: Doom Dark Ages - Revelations
As the war against Hell raged, the Khan Maykr later devised a suitable way to acquire more Essence. The Khan Maykr made a secret pact with the Dark Lord of Hell's First Age: to harvest the flow of Argent Energy from Hell to Urdak, in exchange for granting demonic access to all worlds under her influence. The Khan Maykr justified the sacrifices of countless mortal souls as the only way to prolong the survival of her race. She and her converts aided the demons in processing mortal races into Argent Energy, using slave labor to construct the Soul Needles on Nekravol to accelerate the efficiency of Argent production. Captives were tortured until no trace of humanity remained within them, thus extracting their souls and leaving the victim's body to transform into demons. The insidious conspiracy of the Khan Maykr is finally uncovered by the Night Sentinels and leads to a civil war in Argent D'Nur between those who remained indoctrinated and loyal to the Maykrs and those opposed to them. The war ended with the opposition crushed by treachery within the ranks of the Night Sentinels, as the enemies of the Khan Maykr scatter into Hell, where they fell against Hell's endless demonic horde. However, the sole survivor of the Night Sentinels is the Doom Slayer, who remained surprisingly relentless and invincible against Hell.
Story Part III: Doom Eternal
After the destruction of the Well, an unlimited source of Argent Energy built from the souls of Elemental Spectres, the Khan Maykr sought to replenish her soul supply. This led her to orchestrate the Hell invasion of Earth, which she deemed unworthy of humanity and its Argent Energy-harvested world. She tasked the Hell Priests Deag Grav, Ranak, and Nilox with overseeing the invasion. Her plan was soon opposed by the Doom Slayer, who was determined to quell the invasion by killing the Hell Priests and thus jeopardizing the Maykr's future. When the Slayer killed Nilox, the Khan Maykr teleported the two remaining priests to unknown locations and warned the Slayer not to interfere, stating that the invasion was "humanity's chance to repent, to serve the Maykrs," and reminding him of the Slayer's past role in helping the Maykrs discover the existence of Hell. But the Slayer ignored her words. After the Slayer killed Ranak, the Khan Maykr moved Grav to Sentinel Prime before once again warning the Slayer, via transmission, that his interference would not disrupt her work. However, the Slayer soon managed to reach Sentinel Prime with the help of Dr. Samuel Hayden. The Khan Maykr repeatedly tried to dissuade the Slayer, justifying her actions in continuing the flow of Argent Energy as a necessity to save her people at the cost of many lives. She also offered the Doom Slayer the chance to return to his original world and restore what the demons had taken from him in exchange for abandoning his quest. However, the Slayer remained unmoved and continued killing the final Hell Priest. Enraged by the Slayer's actions, the Khan Maykr attempted to stop him by remotely closing the Fortress of Doom and trapping him inside. The Khan Maykr then resolved to proceed with her plans by resurrecting the Icon of Sin to devour the Earth and the universe, claiming that the Slayer was to blame for forcing her hand and causing humanity's extinction. However, the Khan Maykr did not foresee the Slayer using the Crucible to restore the Fortress to her control. As the Khan Maykr prepared a ceremony to awaken the Icon of Sin in Urdak, the Slayer arrived at the ritual. The Khan Maykr initially remained unfazed by his presence, believing she could not stop the procession. To his horror, the Slayer used a special dagger given to him by the Traitor to destroy the Icon's heart, which preserved the Icon's humanity and would have allowed the Khan Maykr to control the demon. With the Icon of Sin awakened in Urdak and freed from the Maykrs' control, the seal blocking Urdak from Hell broke, allowing demons to invade, bringing ruin to the once holy place and its people. The Khan Maykr confronted the Slayer, enraged by what he had done, before fighting him. She was ultimately killed by the Doom Slayer. With her dying breath, she declared that the Slayer's transgressions in Urdak would endanger all of creation. As she died, the Sphere of Life in her chest shot up into the sky and detonated, creating a storm. After her death, a mysterious voice was heard, screaming in rage.
"You thought you could escape my grasp and that of our civilization. Allow me to mend you and mold you to my will so that you may be the champion of Urdak…"
