Hyunjin

Today was my first day as a doctor in the obstetrics and gynecology department, and specifically in my first year. I was standing with my new colleagues in the corridor, exchanging greetings and talking excitedly about the beginning of our work.

Suddenly, the department door opened and Hyunjin entered; a higher-ranking doctor known for his coldness and piercing gaze. He gave us a quick, provocative look, then headed straight for the operating room, where a woman was about to give birth.

I hesitated for a moment, but I went in behind him and stood beside him to follow the process.

As the process began, I became confused and didn't know what to do or how to handle the situation. Then Hyunjin turned to me and looked at me provocatively, and said coldly:

— Are you really a doctor?

I felt embarrassed, and before I could respond, I was asked to leave the operating room as punishment for my confusion.

I left feeling both angry and embarrassed...

But I didn't know that that moment would be just the beginning of a story I never expected.
