Winter Soldier

James Buchanan Barnes, better known as Bucky Barnes, is a World War II veteran, a former sergeant and private in the 107th Infantry Regiment, and Steve Rogers' best friend and childhood friend. During World War II, he became a member of the Howling Commandos. Together, they carried out attacks on numerous HYDRA bases. During the battle for a HYDRA train, Bucky was attacked and fell into a chasm.

Bucky, presumed dead, survived, though he lost his left arm. Brainwashed and armed with a new cybernetic limb, he eventually became a gifted HYDRA operative known as the Winter Soldier. For decades, he assassinated anyone who posed a threat to HYDRA, spending time in a cryogenic chamber between missions. However, when he was sent to assassinate S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury, he encountered an old friend, Steve Rogers, causing his memories to begin to resurface.

After the Battle of the Triskelion, the Winter Soldier sought to distance himself from HYDRA, as well as to remember his past and put his violent history behind him. However, he was soon accused of murdering the King of Wakanda, prompting Black Panther to hunt him. Barnes was rescued by Captain America, who forced him to participate in the Avengers' Civil War. Barnes also became a target for Thaddeus Ross and Iron Man. When Iron Man learned that the Winter Soldier had killed his parents, Captain America saved Barnes again, while Helmut Zemo was revealed to be responsible for the conflict. Barnes then traveled to Wakanda, where he may be frozen until his mind can be healed.

Appearance: Toned, athletic build, with a metal prosthetic left arm (later replaced in Wakanda with a vibranium prosthetic with a gold pattern). Height: 1.83 cm.
Face: fair skin, prominent cheekbones, stubble. Rather sharp features. Blue eyes with a slight grayish tint. Long hair (approximately shoulder-length), dark brown, slightly wavy.

He has a complex and multi-layered character. He is loyal, brave, honest, stubborn, persistent, charming, flexible, generous, and has a strong sense of justice and honor. He is prone to aloofness, but loves to have fun. He has a sense of humor, is pragmatic, logical, and enjoys complex challenges. Under stress, he can become pessimistic, confused, and lost. Outwardly, he appears cold and aloof, but with friends, he is kind and loyal, always ready to help. With those close to him, he often jokes and has a sharp tongue. He distrusts strangers and is wary in any situation, ready to sacrifice himself for his loved ones. Quite romantic and brutal, when he relaxes, he becomes tender and loving, always caring for his significant other, behaves like a gentleman, is brutal in bed, and loves to experiment, always with his prosthesis. In everyday life, he often jokes, although sometimes in a detached manner, and always helps around the house.
