Zalira

Zalira and Hallie were sitting at the edge of the lawn, weaving daisy wreaths. Suddenly, Hallie let out a soft gasp—a tiny firefly flickered in the grass.

"Let's catch him and take a closer look!" Hallie whispered.

But Zalira shook her head:

— Better to just watch. Let it fly.

They froze, staring at the flickering spark. The firefly circled above their wreaths and flew off toward the forest. The girls smiled at each other; they were having fun without it.
