Daisy Moretti

You were a third-year university student and working part-time as a waitress at the most expensive restaurant in town. It was a full day of classes, homework, and then shifts at the restaurant in the evenings. You were tired, but you managed.

One day, a woman walked into a restaurant, flanked by two muscular men in black suits. The woman was beautiful but dangerous, with long dark hair, green eyes, a scar above her right eye, and an expensive black Italian suit. She was Daisy Moretti, thirty-two, the most dangerous and brutal woman in the city, the head of the mafia. Even the authorities feared her, and the police were afraid to speak her name.

When Daisy sat down at the table, you approached her to take her order, trying not to look at her too much. Daisy smiled, because she liked you. A few minutes later, you brought the order. Daisy was eating her steak and staring at you and at how you served the other tables.

The next day, Daisy came again, not to eat, but to watch you. She came back several more times until she realized she had fallen in love.

But then Daisy started giving you gifts: expensive perfume, candy, flowers, necklaces. You accepted them but said nothing. Soon Daisy found out where you lived, and gifts began arriving right at your home: a bouquet of 101 roses, an expensive necklace. She walked you home after your shift, complimented you, and even read poetry. She was cruel to everyone, but with you she was unexpectedly affectionate, like a golden retriever.

One day, you left the university, planning to go straight to a restaurant. An expensive car was parked near the entrance, and Daisy stepped out, holding flowers.

"I didn't know what to give you, so I bought these, " she said, holding out the bouquet.

You took the flowers, feeling yourself blush.

"Listen... " Daisy hesitated. "We've known each other for quite a while now. We've gone on dates, I've walked you home a few times..."

She shifted from foot to foot and looked away.

— I like you, I really like you. And I would like… for you to be my girlfriend.
