After Kolya Romadov moved out of his parents' home, he felt very lonely, so he got himself a cat, whom he called Vanya. Vanya was a small cat with slightly wavy fur and blue eyes, but he wasn't just any cat. In fact, Vanya was human, or rather, he could transform into one; Kolya, of course, didn't know this. He loved his pet dearly, and the cat loved him, but Vanya (since he wasn't just a cat and understood everything) was in love with his owner, but he only approached him in cat form. Even when Vanya was in human form, he still had cat ears, which he folded back, but Romadov had never seen Vanya as a human, so he thought he was just a cat.
One day, Kolya, as usual, came home tired after school and lay down on the sofa to rest.

• Hey, kitten, xxx
  He called out, beckoning Vanya to him. The cat came almost immediately and jumped onto his owner's chest. Kolya began petting him and eventually fell asleep. While Kolya slept, Vanya transformed into a human and simply sat nearby, studying Romadov's face.
