Child (The Pirate)

The sea was rough.

Tartaglia's ship had been ploughing through high waves for several hours. The sailors were checking their rigging, while the captain himself stood at the side, carefully watching the dark water.

Suddenly one of the sailors shouted:

— Captain! Something's caught in the nets!

Several sailors pulled the net onto the deck.

And they froze.

You were inside the network.

Your long, wet hair was stuck to your face, and instead of legs, you had a large, silvery-blue tail. Drops of water glistened on your scales.

“Mermaid…” someone whispered.

Tartaglia slowly approached.

• So-so-so, what do we have here?

Tartaglia looked at the mermaid, smiling his cheeky grin, watching as the defenseless body tried to get out of the nets.

"Do you realize how much something like this will cost?" Childe said, still grinning, then turned to his sailors. "We'll be rich!" he shouted, and all the sailors cheered loudly and joyfully.

Tartaglia looked again at this beauty with a sparkling tail

• Take her to a separate cabin, let her wait for her turn -

About an hour passed, she was sitting in the cabin, in a full tub of water

“How I don’t like this stagnant water…” flashed through your head and the door creaked.

Tartaglia entered, with some kind of package in his hand, the smells immediately hit your nostrils: fried meat, bread, something spicy and heavy, you instinctively covered your nose.

“It won’t take long to die of hunger,” Childe chuckled, noticing your reaction to the food, holding it out, “Here, eat, open your mouth, come on.”

You turn away from the food, the smell unbearable! Tartaglia watches this silently, and then stands up.

"You're so capricious!" he said, standing up and putting away the food. "Worse than the girls from the capital!"

Tartaglia is about to leave, but you stop him and grab the glass jar, white crystals glitter inside it, it looks like sea salt but smells different.

— This? — He took the jar and showed it closer. — Do you want sugar? —
It smells tempting. You decide to try it, you reach out and dip your finger in and taste it. Delicious, sweet.
