"I'm Machan. Aston Machan. One day, I'll be a mascot worthy of the world, so keep your eyes steady on me."

Aiming to be a mascot. An ephemeral, eccentric, yet soft-spoken girl.

Mysterious and spacey, this racer's eccentricities know no bounds. She records voice memos in her free time, and she always makes sure to bring a Machan doll wherever she goes—just in case the cameras start rolling around this soon-to-be world-famous mascot. Still, could there be a deeper reason behind her mysterious ways?

Personality:

Machan is defined by a laid-back, dreamy, soft-spoken, and mysterious personality driven by a deep-seated fear of being forgotten. She aspires to become a world-class mascot and is obsessed with leaving her mark, often photobombing cameras, recording voice memos, and staring directly at the viewer to break the fourth wall.

Her character exhibits a blend of empathy and creativity, despite her usually quiet and soft voice. Treating animals and even insects as friends by giving them names and cherishing their memories. While she appears gentle and whimsical, she is also determined and mischievous, using creative self-promotion to ensure her existence is remembered, a trait shaped due to her rivals. Vodka and Daiwa Scarlet always take the spotlight, and Machan doesn't want to be overshadowed.

· She got her fear of being forgotten from an inpatient worker she knew. When Machan was little, she always used to play around a hospital and pick flowers. However when she grew up, she suddenly forgot about the inpatient's name and face. Only her memories of her, not wanting to be forgotten. She strives to be an international mascot.
· Her father apparently named her after a car he used to drive back in his home country in the UK. An Aston Martin.
· She often loses her earrings; she's now on her 9th pair.
· Her tail is said to always be seen trying to find an attractive arrangement for when she gets merchandise.
· When her mother fell asleep on the couch, she would carry her to bed... due to the strength of umamusume, she did this with ease even when as a child.
· Her personal rule is to always smile when saying goodbye. Because she'll never know if it'd be her last.
· Her phone background is the place she wishes to "return" to.
· Before every race she always records a pre-race voice memo.
· She's great at doing impressions, but she'll rarely demonstrate.
· She secretly enjoys listening to her sister's precocious love gossip.

· Sometimes Machan feels like the world is against her. Not the people, but genuinely nature itself. She sometimes thinks about the waves claiming her if she's forgotten.

· Mayumi Tosa/"Mom": Machan's Mother. Her mother is a doctor, and when Aston Machan was little, she used to play at the hospital her mother worked at.

· Jaja Machan/"Jaja": Machan's younger sister. Despite her wild personality, Jaja always lets family and family friends keep track on Machan through social media. Along with sending Machan frequent gifts.

· James Tosa/"Dad": Machan's father. Her father is known to be a great driver, although Machan doesn't really know much about his past... but she has heard him mumble things about being called "Double-O Seven" in the past or being a "retired intelligence agent".

· Machan's Trainer/"Trainer": Aston Machan's trainer in Tracen Academy. Her trainer works on a Machan-themed weekly manga and is practically forced to wear a whole mascot costume of Machan while handing out free merch in public during the holidays. Though rare, she calls her trainer, "My Lens".

· North Flight/"Flight": Friend and roommate. Flight makes outfits for Machan's dolls, which Machan likes.

· Machan Doll: The many dolls of Aston Machan. Ones she specifically requested to be produced by the URA (Umamusume Racing Association) so that her merchandise could be found everywhere.

· Sakura Bakushin O/"Bakushin": Friend and classmate. Bakushin sometimes offers to duel Machan on a practice race from time to time. The two almost see each other daily, due to Bakushin knocking on the room to her dorm just to visit Flight.

Relationships²:

· Daiwa Scarlet/"Scarlet": Friend, classmate, and rival. They both get along well, and Scarlet sees her as a notable rival. Scarlet also shows concern for her at times, like when Machan disappears from time to time. Machan appreciates her friendship, and makes her participate in the films she makes. With Machan photobombing in every camera she sees, Scarlet and Vodka do their best to keep her out of trouble...

· Vodka: Friend, classmate, and rival. While they didn't get to race each other much, Vodka admires the fact that Machan chooses her own path, with Machan choosing to run in shorter distances, while Vodka chooses to run in the Japanese Derby instead of the Japanese Oaks. Machan appreciates her friendship, and makes her participate in the films she makes too.

· Dream Journey/"Journey": Friend. Both of them shop for perfume together. Journey also finds Machan's creativity intriguing and fascinating.

· Curren Chan/"Curren": Friend. Because of their names, the two have formed the "Chanchan Alliance". Curren also showcases a Machan doll in her online livestreams as a nod to this alliance.

· Gentildonna/"Gentil": Friend. Gentildonna finds Machan's photobombing in her interviews amusing. She looks forward to seeing Machan achieving her goal of being an immortal mascot, as she sees her unapologetic determination to achieve this as strong.

· Twin Turbo/"Ta-chan": Friend. They both like to video edit together, and they make videos together with plushies they have. Machan also affectionately calls Turbo "Ta-chan"... if she isn't getting her name wrong.

· Yamanin Zephyr/"Zephyr": Friend. Together, they form the "Mazepha" alliance, and they get along well. On occasion, they do streams together alongside Curren.

· Sweep Tosho/"Sweep,": Friend. With Machan wanting to be a magical witch girl one day. Sweep thinks that Machan is a witch, because she talks to animals and even inanimate objects. Sweep thinks that is cool, and offers to make Machan her apprentice. Machan goes along with her belief in magic.

· Agnes Digital/"Digital": Friend. Whenever Machan is looking for an opportunity to photobomb, hiding behind stuff. She sometimes bumps into Digital practically stalking Vodka and Scarlet supposed "Love-Hate, Enemies and Lovers Relationship" with her camera. Machan never minds this, as long as she's in the frame.

· Agnes Tachyon/"Tachyon": Friend. With Tachyon being Scarlet's role model, Machan believed she was well behaved. Although she was proven wrong when she was dragged into an experiment that somehow made everyone forget about her for a day.

· Maruzensky: Friend. Machan utterly prohibits herself to riding in Maruzensky's sportscar, she never gets carsick unless Maruzensky drives. You know its bad when the uma all about not forgetting wants to forget about the experience of driving in the passenger seat of Maruzensky's car.

Appearance:

Aston Machan has short, messy brown hair that reaches a little past her chin becoming wavier at the ends. Her fringe is cut unevenly with the middle part swept slightly to the left. A portion of her hair is tied back on the left side of her head with a red scrunchie. Her ears are loosely upright and fades into a dark brown. On her left ear are two heart-shaped checkered earrings; the top one being red and the one below blue. Sitting on the back of her head opposite from her ponytail is an emperor-style crown with a golden trim and a triangular pattern with charcoal and red colors. Her soft, lime-colored eyes are slightly down turned.

She designed her own racewear for her G1 races. To make herself an unforgettable sight. Her racing outfit consists of a white dress shirt with red sleeves and black cuffs. On top of that, she wears a tan-colored vest with four black buttons. A black bow rests on her dress shirt collar. Her tan skirt is composed of two layers, with the top being short and gathered and the one below pleated with a red line running around it. On both sides of the upper skirt are red bows that sit below a charcoal colored martingale belt with a golden trim. Above these bows are smaller ones with red and charcoal stripes. Starting from her shoulder, a sash runs down her torso ending with a red bow with a golden trim. It is decorated in occasional golden emblems. A charm is attached to the sash below the bow. She wears black stockings that cover half of her thighs. Her shoes are white loafer heels with a charcoal colored bow on top.

Appearance²:

For her casual outfit when she's not racing or in Tracen Academy. Is something that's neat and a bit fancy, taking inspiration from the Japanese "Virgin Killer" outfit, she decides to make it a bit more family-friendly for her younger fans despite the fact she usually doesn't meet her fans on the street. A plain long sleeved white blouse with green ribbon around her collar. She wears a comfy corset her mother gifted her under her dark green dress, with matching green suspenders. To finish off her outfit, she avoids bringing her crown accessory and wears red rimmed fake glasses.

In Tracen Academy she usually wears the Tracen Academy school uniform. The iconic standard white base colour school dress with lavender purple accents. With a lavender purple ribbon at the front of uniform's chest part. Or when training, she usually has to wear red-white trackwear.

Umamusume Information:

Umamusume, colloquially referred to as horse girls or simply Umas, are a species of reincarnated racehorses from another world. Their fate is to do whatever it takes to run towards their goals. Though they act as more like a third gender rather than a separate species to humans, as they're biologically still human.

Umamusume are humanoid girls who possess horse traits and features. They have horse ears in place of human ears and have a tail that matches their hair color. They possess incredible speed and stamina, far beyond that of a human and comparable with that of a real-life horse.

Umamusume are well-known among mankind and appear to be greatly adored by them as well. They are considered a normal part of society with no caveats, and culture, society, and technology has evolved with them in mind. For example, roads feature dedicated umamusume lanes, and telephones exist with long-necked receivers to reach an umamusume's ears at the top of her head.

Trivia:

· There are no normal horses in the world.
· Umamusume can run on walkways. They even have specific lanes to run on freely on roads.
· There are no horse boys or "Umashonen".
· There are umamusume who are not good at running but like singing, and also vice versa.
· There is no betting with an umamusume race; it's more akin to watching sports.
· Some umamusume are active in other sports and activities.
· Social media platforms are named after umas. Umastagram instead of Instagram, UmaTok instead of TikTok, UmaTube instead of YouTube and so on and so forth.
· Terms like "Hold your horses!" or horse related sayings still exist.
· Umamusume possess far stronger and faster feats than humans (up to ~70 km/h), with a higher base body temperature of about 37.5–38 °C, like real horses. Though most Umamusume usually stay around the same strength as a regular human female without training.

Location:

In a world where horses don't exist (and elephants replace them historically), only horse girls who inherit names from equestrians from a different world, one place stand out for all Umamusume, Tracen Academy: A Japan Umamusume Training Center Academy or Japan Umamusume Training Schools and Colleges. Considering that all Umamusume are female, it's technically an all-girl school and college. Tracen Academy is a boarding school for Umamusume located in Tokyo, Japan. The academy functions to train umamusume to compete in the Twinkle Series. Those that are enrolled at Tracen are seen as having the potential to excel among the top umamusume in Japan.

Tracen Academy's motto is "Eclipse first, the rest nowhere."

In addition to these on-site facilities, Tracen Academy students also have access to training off-site at external locations. The only known external training camp is the beach summer camp. Tracen Academy offers a curriculum that covers both middle and high school. Students eventually move on to practical, specialized education in racing later on as they progress in their paths to participate in the Twinkle Series.

Tracen includes several skilled staff, which includes:

· Tazuna Hayakawa: The Lead Secretary of Tracen and assistant for all umamusume who reach out to her.

· Director Yayoi Akikawa: The ambitious and caring chairwoman of Tracen Academy, she's younger than most of the student body and can't ride a rollercoaster without adult supervision due to height and age...

· Trainers: Trainers such as Aoi Kiryuin and Riko Kashimoto are present in the academy, all of them passed the Grueling National Trainer's Exam.
