She is one generation younger than Silence Suzuka and one generation older than T.M. Opera O, and she looks up to Silence Suzuka. She has great stamina and speed, and she has an instinct on the track as to when to hold back and when to open up.

Silence Suzuka (サイレンススズカ, Sairensu Suzuka) Voiced by: Marika Kōno[2] Anime series (1st-3rd), video game She serves as the co-protagonist of the anime's first season and the protagonist of Chapter 5 of Part 1 of the video game's main story. Silence is an accomplished young horse girl. She is one generation younger than Air Groove and one generation older than Special Week, and is Special Week's roommate and teammate. Her racing, performance, and friendship inspire Special Week. Her goal is to make people dream, and she believes that is what it means to be the best horse girl. Later on in the anime, she goes to the United States.

Tokai Teio (トウカイテイオー, Tōkai Teiō) Voiced by: Machico[2] Anime series (1st-3rd), BNW OVA, video game She serves as the protagonist of the anime's second season. Tokai is a talented horse girl on Special Week's team. She is one generation younger than Mejiro McQueen and one generation older than Rice Shower. She has a strong admiration for the Student Council President, Symboli Rudolf, and wishes to one day be as good as her. She becomes Mejiro McQueen's rival but suffers from repeated injuries.

Vodka (ウオッカ, Uokka) Voiced by: Ayaka Ōhashi[2] Anime series (1st-3rd), BNW OVA, video game She is a young horse girl who is a junior in Special Week and is one of the first three to join the team with Daiwa Scarlet. She is one generation younger than Kawakami Princess and one generation older than Smart Falcon. Daiwa Scarlet (ダイワスカーレット, Daiwa Sukāretto) Voiced by: Chisa Kimura[2] Anime series (1st-3rd), video game She is also a young horse girl who is a junior of Special Week and is Vodka's biggest rival of her generation.

Gold Ship (ゴールドシップ, Gōrudo Shippu) Voiced by: Hitomi Ueda[2] PisuPisu☆SupiSupi Golshi-chan, anime series (1st-3rd), BNW OVA, video game She serves as the protagonist of the manga PisuPisu☆SupiSupi Golshi-chan and is depicted as the owner of PAKA TUBE!, the official series YouTube channel. She is a mischievous, eccentric, and capricious horse girl who is fond of playing pranks, especially on Mejiro McQueen, but she is also a very skilled racer. In the anime, she mostly serves as comic relief until the third season.

Mejiro McQueen (メジロマックイーン, Mejiro Makkuīn) Voiced by: Saori Ōnishi[2] Anime series (1st-3rd), BNW OVA, video game She serves as the co-protagonist of the anime's second season and the protagonist for Chapter 1 of Part 1 of the video game's main story. A horse girl of the famous Mejiro family. She is two generation younger than Oguri Cap and one generation older than Tokai Teio. In the anime, She joined Special Week's team after being implored by Gold Ship numerous times. She may initially seem cold and blunt, but she actually cares for others and is willing to help them when needed.

Trainer (トレーナー, Torēnā) Voiced by: Kōji Okino[2] Anime series (1st-3rd), BNW OVA Founder and trainer of Team Spica. He is known for always having a lollipop in his mouth and has a tendency to scout an umamusume by examining their legs, only to be immediately kicked in the face. Hana Tōjō (東条ハナ, Tōjō Hana) Voiced by: Megumi Toyoguchi[2] Anime series (1st-3rd), BNW OVA Founder and trainer of Team Rigil, which is the main rival of Team Spica in the first season. Tazuna Hayakawa (駿川たづな, Hayakawa Tazuna) Voiced by: Yukiyo Fujii[3] Anime series (1st-2nd), Cinderella Gray, video game Secretary to the director of Tracen Academy, Yayoi Akikawa. Whether she is a human or an Umamusume is officially left vague, though her character design and aspects of her personality are inspired by the Japanese racehorse Tokino Minoru.[4]

Misato Akasaka (赤坂美聡, Akasaka Misato) Voiced by: Satomi Akesaka[5] Anime series (1st-3rd), BNW OVA, Cinderella Gray The main commentator for the URA races. Junko Hosoe (細江純子, Hosoe Junko) Voiced by: Junko Hosoe [ja][6] Anime series (1st-2nd), BNW OVA Color commentator alongside Misato Akasaka during the first two seasons. The real Junko Hosoe is a former jockey and real-life horse racing commentator. Kitasan Black (キタサンブラック, Kitasan Burakku) Voiced by: Hinaki Yano[7] Anime series (2nd-3rd), video game She serves as the protagonist of the anime's third season. She first appeared in the anime in the second season. She is a horse girl who is a fan of Tokai Teio. She is an elementary school student in second season, and she enrolls in Tracen Academy in the final episode. She has a childhood friend called Satono Diamond. In the third season, she joins Team Spica.

Symboli Rudolf (シンボリルドルフ, Shinbori Rudorufu) Voiced by: Azusa Tadokoro[2] Cinderella Gray, anime series (1st-3rd), video game The student council president of the academy. One of the Triple Crown Horse Girls. She is one generation younger than Mr. C.B. and one generation older than Sirius Symboli. Air Groove (エアグルーヴ, Ea Gurūvu) Voiced by: Ruriko Aoki[2] Anime series (1st-3rd), video game The student council vice president of the academy. She is one generation younger than Mayano Top Gun and one generation older than Silence Suzuka, and is also Silence Suzuka's rival. She also takes good care of Duramente. Hishi Amazon (ヒシアマゾン) Voiced by: Yuiko Tatsumi[2] Anime series (1st), video game She is Miho dormitory director. She is particular about face-off. She is a rival of the same generation as Narita Brian.

Grass Wonder (グラスワンダー, Gurasu Wandā) Voiced by: Rena Maeda[2] Anime series (1st-3rd), video game A horse girl from the United States who is the same generation as Special Week and is her friend. She gets injured and is unable to race for a short time, but aspires to regain her former speed and surpass Silence Suzuka. El Condor Pasa (エルコンドルパサー, Eru Kondoru Pasā) Voiced by: Minami Takahashi[2] Anime series (1st-3rd), video game A horse girl from the United States who received training abroad and aspires to compete in foreign races. She is the same generation as Special Week and views her as a rival, but remains on friendly terms with her even when competing together.

Maruzensky (マルゼンスキー, Maruzensukī) Voiced by: Lynn[2] Cinderella Gray, anime series (1st), video game She is the strongest horse girl called "Supercar" or "Monster". She is the oldest generation of horse girls who are not NPCs. Taiki Shuttle (タイキシャトル, Taiki Shatoru) Voiced by: Yuka Ōtsubo[2] Anime series (1st), video game She is the generation of Silence Suzuka from USA and has the best sprint performance. Daring Tact (デアリングタクト, Dearingu Takuto) Voiced by: Hina Yōmiya Anime series (3rd) She is the youngest generation of horse girls. One of the Triple Tiara Horse Girls. Mejiro Ryan [ja] (メジロライアン, Mejiro Raian) Voiced by: Afumi Hashi[8] Cinderella Gray, anime series (1st), video game She is the representative of the Mejiro McQueen and Mejiro Palmer generations of the Mejiro family, and cares about her juniors, Mejiro Dober and Mejiro Bright.

Mejiro Palmer [ja] (メジロパーマー, Mejiro Pāmā) Voiced by: Yuri Noguchi Anime series (2nd), video game She is a member of the Mejiro family and is of the same generation as Mejiro McQueen and Mejiro Ryan. She is good at running away. Mejiro Dober [ja] (メジロドーベル, Mejiro Dōberu) Voiced by: Hikari Kubota[8] Anime series (1st), video game She is horse girl of the Silence Suzuka generation and respects Mejiro Ryan, a senior of the Mejiro family. She is not good at men. She first appeared in the anime in the first season, she and Mejiro Ryan were having dinner with Mejiro McQueen, who had returned home. In the video game Party Dash, she is a member of Team Freesia.

Mejiro Bright [ja] (メジロブライト, Mejiro Buraito) Voiced by: Ayaka Ōnishi Movie, video game She is a horse girl of the Silence Suzuka generation, and is on good terms with Mejiro Dober, who is the same generation as her in the Mejiro family. Compared to other horse girls, she is very gentle. She first appeared in the anime in Beginning of a New Era as one of the previous horse girls. In the video game Party Dash, she is a member of Team Freesia. Mejiro Ramonu (メジロラモーヌ, Mejiro Ramōnu) Voiced by: Nao Tōyama Movie She is Mejiro Ardan's older sister. She is one generation younger Sirius Symboli and one generation older Tamamo Cross, making her the first Triple Tiara Horse Girl in history. She first appeared in the anime in Beginning of a New Era as one of the previous horse girl.

Seiun Sky (セイウンスカイ, Seiun Sukai) Voiced by: Akari Kitō[2] Anime series (1st), BNW OVA, video game She is a Special Week generation rival who competed in classic races. She has a loose personality. She first appeared in the anime in the first season, she will compete in the classic race alongside rivals Special Week and King Halo. In BNW's Oath, she runs in the relay race as a member of Team N. In the video game Party Dash, she is a member of Team Cosmos. Haru Urara (ハルウララ) Voiced by: Yukina Shuto[8] Haru Urara, Do Your Best!, anime series (1st), Road to the Top, video game She serves as the protagonist for manga Haru Urara, Do Your Best!. She is the generation of T.M. Opera O, is the first horse girl to talk to Special Week. She runs in a local Kochi race track. She first appeared in the anime in the first season, she was the first to speak to Special Week in the classroom.

Broye (ブロワイエ, Burowaie) Voiced by: Haruna Ikezawa[2] Anime series (1st), BNW OVA A French umamusume who defeats El Condor Pasa at the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe before traveling to Japan to compete at the Japan Cup, only to be defeated by Special Week. She is based on the French-trained Irish racehorse Montjeu.[9] Biwa Hayahide (ビワハヤヒデ) Voiced by: Yui Kondo[8] Anime series (1st-2nd), BNW OVA, video game She represents the next generation of Rice Shower and is Narita Brian's elder sister, making her one generation older than her. She cares about her head looking big. She and her sister first appeared in the anime in the first season. In BNW's Oath, she runs in the relay race as the leader of Team B.

Narita Taishin (ナリタタイシン) Voiced by: Keiko Watanabe[8] BNW OVA, video game She is a rival to Biwa Hayahide and Winning Ticket in the same generation, but she is born small but is trying hard. She first appeared in the anime in BNW's Oath, she runs in the relay race as the leader of Team N. Winning Ticket (ウイニングチケット, Uiningu Chiketto) Voiced by: Yui Watanabe[8] Anime series (1st), BNW OVA, video game She serves as the protagonist for Chapter 3 of Part 1 of the video game's main story. She is a rival of Biwa Hayahide and Narita Taishin in the same generation and has a straightforward personality. She first appeared in the anime in the first season, she is also a friend of Silence Suzuka in the anime's first season. In BNW's Oath, she runs in the relay race as the leader of Team W. In the main story of the video game, she will be a member of Team Sirius after Rice Shower, aiming to win the Japan Derby.

Rice Shower (ライスシャワー, Raisu Shawā) Voiced by: Manaka Iwami[8] BNW OVA, anime series (2nd-3rd), Road to the Top, video game She serves as the protagonist for Chapter 2 of Part 1 of the video game's main story. She is one generation younger than Tokai Teio and one generation older than BNW and is booed by the audience for blocking the Mihono Bourbon Triple Crown. In the main story of the video game, she became a member of Team Sirius after Gold Ship, competing with Mejiro McQueen. She first appeared in the anime in BNW's Oath, she runs in the relay race as a member of Team B. She then became one of the main characters in the second season and also appeared as a side character in Road to the Top and the third season.

Nice Nature (ナイスネイチャ, Naisu Neicha) Voiced by: Kaori Maeda[8] Anime series (1st-3rd), video game She is a generation of Tokai Teio, and although she does not perform well, she is working very hard. She first appeared in the anime in the first season. she is also a friend of Silence Suzuka in the anime's first season. She first appeared in the anime in BNW's Oath, she runs in the relay race as a member of Team N.

Satono Diamond (サトノダイヤモンド, Satono Daiyamondo) Voiced by: Hina Tachibana[7] Anime series (2nd-3rd), video game She serves as the co-protagonist for the anime's third season. She is a horse girl one generation younger than Kitasan Black. She first appeared in the anime in the second season. She is a fan of Mejiro McQueen. Like Kitasan Black, she is in the same elementary school class as her in the second season of the anime, and she enrolls in Tracen Academy in the final episode. In third season, she joined Team Capella.

Satono Crown (サトノクラウン, Satono Kuraun) Voiced by: Sayumi Suzushiro Anime series (3rd), video game She is part of Kitasan Black's generation and a relative of Satono Diamond, a member of the Satono family. She first appeared in the anime in 1st Anniversary Special Animation, she studied abroad during elementary school, so she enrolled in Tracen Academy and reunited with Satono Diamond. In the video game Party Dash, she is a member of Team Iris.

Cheval Grand (シュヴァルグラン, Shuvaru Guran) Voiced by: Yūko Natsuyoshi Anime series (3rd), video game She is part of Kitasan Black's generation. She missed her classical year run. She first appeared in the anime in 1st Anniversary Special Animation, she is troubled by the fact that she has lagged behind her older and younger sisters in winning Grade 1 races. In the video game Party Dash, she is a member of Team Iris.

Duramente (ドゥラメンテ, Duramente) Voiced by: Akina [ja] Anime series (3rd), video game She is part of Kitasan Black's generation. She beats Kitasan in Satsuki Shō and Nippon Derby. She first appeared in the anime in the third season, at first, she only thought about herself and didn't even know about Kitasan Black. In the video game Party Dash, she is a member of Team Iris. Verxina (ヴィルシーナ, Virushiina) Voiced by: Kaya Okuno[10] Anime series (3rd) She is part of Gold Ship's generation. Cheval Grand's older sister. She finished 2nd place in both Oka Sho, Oaks, and Shuka Sho. Verxina and Vivlos first appeared in the anime in the third season, concerned about Cheval Grand.

Vivlos (ヴィブロス, Viburosu) Voiced by: Ayasa Itō[10] Anime series (3rd) Cheval Grand's younger sister. She wished to go to Dubai. She is of the same generation as Satono Diamond. Yamamoto (山本) Voiced by: Masahiro Yamamoto[11] Anime series (3rd) Color commentator alongside Misato Akasaka during the third season. He is a fictional version of former Chunichi Dragons pitcher Masahiro "Masa" Yamamoto, whose involvement in the horse racing industry consists of investment to the racehorses Al Ain and Shahryar.

Opera O generation since entering the senior years. She first appeared in the anime in the first season, she is an assistant to the fortune-telling of Matikane Fukukitaroe in the academy. Curren Chan (カレンチャン, Karen Chan) Voiced by: Yū Sasahara[8] Road to the Top, movie, video game She is one generation younger than Tosen Jordan and one generation older than Orfevre, and is pursuing "cuteness". She is Admire Vega's roommate.[12] She first appeared in the anime in Road to the Top and was always with Admire Vega as a supporting character in Beginning of a New Era.

She is of the same generation as Mayano Top Gun, but has never competed in a classic race. She first appeared in the anime in the first season, she welcomed Special Week into her role as dormitory director. In the video game Party Dash, she is a member of Team Geranium.
