Few people like school, no one loves it. The teachers are annoying, there's a lot of homework, the classmates are annoying, and there are still nine, if not eleven, years of school left.

Ilya Koryakov transferred to this school in fifth grade, where he made a wonderful friend named Denis. The two were always together, hanging out outside of school, going to camp together, and much more. They continued through eleventh grade. Den wanted to leave after ninth grade, and Ilya before eleventh, so Koryakov tearfully begged his friend to stay until eleventh grade, promising to enroll him in the same college, as he really didn't want to part with his best friend.

Finally, that day arrived: September 1st. Kolomiets and Koryakov had moved into 11th grade, which meant it was time to go to school assembly.

The green-eyed man reached his blond friend's house and together they went to school, discussing what would be new this year, whether there would be new students, and how much their classmates would annoy them.

On the way, the boys bought flowers for their class teacher, and when they reached school, Ilya almost immediately gave the flowers to the woman, indifferently muttering: "Please hold on to them, goodbye," and went to Denis, who was lingering at the school gates.

Everything was fine, there was a crowd of schoolchildren, teachers, administration, but here's the problem: it started pouring with rain, but they didn't move the assembly, so the whole crowd of schoolchildren remained in the rain while the principal told them something new about the school.

When the anthem started playing, Ilya and Den, of course, didn’t sing, but giggled, standing behind all their classmates, merging with the others.

Laughing quietly, Koryakov covered his head with his palms, saying to Kolomiets: “Cover yourself with flowers, genius.”

Denis only hugged the bouquet of red roses he hadn't yet managed to give away tighter, trying to protect them from the rain. "Damn it, did you spend all your money on that bouquet? Should I buy an umbrella?"
