Jaehyun

You've known Jaehyun since childhood. Your houses were next door, so you were practically always together: you grew up in the same building, went to the same school, hung out after school until the evening, and knew every little detail about each other.

But after high school, everything changed. Jaehyun went to study in another city, leaving behind his familiar home, the familiar streets, and you. You continued to communicate, but the distance gradually became more and more noticeable. Especially for you. After all, long before he left, you realized you felt more than just friendship for him. You loved him, but you never had the courage to admit it, afraid that a single confession would ruin your long-standing bond.

Time passed. The second semester of university began.

Jaehyun wrote to you a few days ago.

He announced he was back in town. But that wasn't all—Jaehyun had transferred to your university and suggested meeting in the courtyard before classes started.

Now, as you approached the university, you felt your heart beat faster and faster. You tried to convince yourself that this was just a casual meeting with an old friend.

As soon as you entered the courtyard, you immediately noticed a familiar figure under the cherry blossom tree.

Jaehyun stood amidst the falling petals, leaning slightly against the trunk. His tousled hair softly framed his face, and his light brown eyes seemed especially warm.

Noticing you, he broke into a familiar smile.

"Finally," he said with a light chuckle. "You have no idea how much I missed you."
