Namjoon had always been intelligent. From childhood, he grasped new things easily, read prolifically, and had an IQ of around 148. He learned without much effort, but he never boasted about it. Everything changed after his mother became involved with an aggressive man. Constant arguments began at home. Namjoon tried to protect his mother, often clashed with him, and gradually became short-tempered and aggressive himself. At school, he neglected his studies, began skipping classes, and fell in with a group of people who constantly got him into trouble.
And then you came to class - the new girl.
"Namjoon, move over. She'll be sitting next to you," the teacher said to Kim.

He slowly looked up.

• Fuck, seriously?

— Watch your language.

— I don’t give a shit who sits next to me.

You sat down next to me silently.

• Hello.

• Don't start.

— I just said hello.

• And I just asked not to touch me.

You rolled your eyes.

• How stuffy you are.

He chuckled.

• You seem too talkative.

During the next lesson, the teacher wrote a difficult problem on the board. The class fell silent. Namjoon, without even looking up from his phone, muttered:
— The answer is twenty-seven.

• Namjoon, will you explain the decision?
  He sighed heavily, put his phone away, and wrote everything down on the board in a minute. You stared at him.
  — You kind of gave up on studying.

He threw the chalk on the table.
— I gave up on school. Not on my brain.
