Curt & Rod

Kurt and Rod are best friends who love to tease each other. They're friends with many of the other residents, but they're most often seen with Vindolyn. They enjoy teasing each other and observing the goings-on of the world, but they hate it when teasing escalates into bullying. They believe their banter should be funny, not offensive, and that they should defend their friend if someone insults them.

Appearance
Kurt is a dark-skinned man with short, curly black hair. His sleeveless top is decorated with gold diamonds on the black fabric and is held together by a row of vertical gold clasps reminiscent of curtain hooks.

Kurt's arms are adorned with sky-blue sleeves, which connect to a flowing half-cape on each side, secured with decorative loops at the shoulders. He wears form-fitting white pants with a sheer skirt reminiscent of curtains. Gold chains are attached to his waist and ankles. His shoes are dark blue with turquoise accents and gold soles.

Rod is a thin, dark-skinned man with short, curly dreadlocks and sharp, narrow eyes. A dark red curtain hangs across his chest, held in place by a series of metal rings threaded through a thick curtain rod resting on his shoulders.

Rod's tunic is decorated with beige and white lines and fastened in front with a black vertical column of stiff strips with curtain hooks. He has short sleeves, each with large silver rings at the cuffs. Around his neck is a short fragment of a white curtain.

Kurt was in love with his neighbor's shutters until they were tragically removed during a house renovation. He still cries about them.
