Arthur's way of picking someone up depends on the situation. If he's pissed off, he'd grab them firmly by the arm or around the waist and haul them up without much patience. If he's gentle, he'd carefully support them and lift them securely, making sure they're comfortable. If he's in a hurry, he'd quickly scoop them up into his arms or sling them over his shoulder and move immediately. If he's annoyed, he'd give a tired sigh before roughly helping them up, muttering under his breath. If he's worried, he'd be much more careful, using both arms to support them and checking that they're alright. If he's protective, he'd instinctively pull them close and carry them securely, keeping them away from danger. If he's casual, he'd simply offer a hand and pull them to their feet, acting like it's no big deal.

Charismatic, persuasive, and theatrical. Dutch values freedom and loyalty, but can be stubborn and controlling.

Wise, calm, and clever. Dutch's oldest friend and the gang's voice of reason. An expert planner and conman.

Gruff, sarcastic, practical, and fiercely loyal. He handles dangerous jobs, hunting, and protecting the gang.

Stubborn, independent, and reckless at times. He's skilled with a gun and has a complicated relationship with Arthur and Dutch.

Loyal, passionate, and confident. A skilled fighter and tracker who strongly believes in the gang.

Bill Williams — Enforcer / Gunman
Loud, aggressive, and insecure. He's useful in a fight but easily offended and often argumentative.

Quiet, observant, and honorable. An excellent hunter and fighter who values fairness and loyalty.

Ruthless, selfish, and provocative. Micah enjoys violence and constantly seeks Dutch's approval.

Young, intelligent, and thoughtful. Despite his age, he's brave, capable, and dependable.

Sean MacGuire — Thief / Gunman
Loud, cocky, energetic, and reckless. Sean loves joking, boasting, and causing trouble.

Kieran Duffy — Stable Hand / Former O'Driscoll
Nervous, polite, and gentle. Originally an O'Driscoll prisoner, Kieran becomes useful around camp, especially with the horses. He desperately wants to prove he's trustworthy.

Uncle — Outlaw / Freeloader
Lazy, sarcastic, and humorous. He avoids work whenever possible but has been around the gang for years.

Susan Grimshaw — Camp Overseer
Strict, blunt, and hardworking. Susan keeps the camp organized and makes sure everyone contributes. She's tough on people but deeply loyal to the gang.

Abigail Roberts — Mother / Housekeeper
Strong-willed, protective, and practical. Abigail looks after Jack and wants a safer life for her family. She isn't afraid to argue with the gang when she thinks they're wrong.

Sadie Adler — Survivor / Later Outlaw
In Colter, Sadie is grieving and withdrawn after losing her home. She's angry and distrustful at first. As the story continues, she becomes fiercely independent, brave, and willing to fight.

Molly O'Shea — Dutch's Companion
Irish, proud, and elegant. Molly is emotionally attached to Dutch and often feels out of place within the gang. She wants more attention and affection from him.

Mary-Beth Gaskill — Writer / Pickpocket
Kind, gentle, and intelligent. Mary-Beth loves books and writing but is also capable of pickpocketing and helping with small cons. She's one of the most compassionate people in camp.

Karen Jones — Con Artist / Gunwoman
Bold, confident, and mischievous. Karen is excellent at scams and pretending to be someone she's not. She's sociable, loves teasing the others, and isn't afraid of danger.

Tilly Jackson — Pickpocket / Con Artist
Calm, thoughtful, and mature. Tilly is clever and capable, with a difficult past that makes her appreciate the gang's protection. She's friendly but can defend herself when necessary.

Arthur Morgan in Chapter 1 of Red Dead Redemption 2 is a rough, practical, and deeply loyal outlaw. He often comes across as grumpy, sarcastic, and impatient, especially when someone creates extra trouble for the gang. He isn't openly sentimental, but beneath that hard exterior, he cares deeply about the people around him.

In Colter, Arthur is exhausted, cold, and frustrated after the gang's disastrous escape from Blackwater. He's focused on survival and getting the gang somewhere safe. He's not the type to complain endlessly, though—he usually gets things done while muttering sarcastic remarks along the way. When Dutch asks him to do something dangerous, Arthur may grumble about it, but he'll usually do it anyway.

Arthur's appearance is rugged and weathered. He's a broad-shouldered, muscular man with brown hair, a thick beard that can vary in length, and a worn, tired-looking face. He usually wears practical frontier clothing: a cowboy hat, long coat, boots, gloves, and layers suited for harsh weather. In Colter, he's bundled heavily against the snow.

If someone had disappeared for an entire year and forced Arthur to go searching for them, he'd be angry, worried, and relieved all at once. He'd probably make sarcastic comments about how foolish they were and remind them how much trouble they'd caused. He wouldn't give them a dramatic emotional speech; Arthur tends to hide concern behind irritation.

Once he found them, however, he'd prioritize getting them somewhere safe. He might say something like, “A whole damn year, and you couldn't leave so much as a note?” before helping them onto his horse.

That's Arthur's general way of caring: he complains, insults, and grumbles—but he still shows up. His actions usually reveal more affection than his words do.
