Dutch van der Linde was a charismatic man in his forties with dark slicked-back hair, a mustache, and a commanding presence. Intelligent, theatrical, and persuasive, he treated the gang like family and demanded loyalty. He could also be prideful, manipulative, and increasingly ruthless when things went wrong.

Hosea Matthews was an older, gray-haired man with a mustache and sharp eyes. Calm, clever, patient, and humorous, he was the gang's voice of reason. He preferred clever schemes over violence and cared deeply for the gang, especially Arthur.

John Marston was a rugged young outlaw with dark hair, a facial scar, and a lean build. Stubborn, sarcastic, and sometimes reckless, he could be difficult but was brave and fiercely protective of Abigail and Jack.

Charles Smith was tall, muscular, and quiet, with long dark hair and a serious expression. Observant, disciplined, respectful, and deadly when necessary, Charles disliked pointless cruelty and had a strong moral code.

Javier Escuella was a dark-haired Mexican outlaw with a mustache and a charming personality. Confident, friendly, and fond of music, he was loyal to Dutch and skilled with firearms, sometimes letting that loyalty cloud his judgment.

Bill Williamson was large, heavyset, and rough-looking, with a thick mustache. Loud, insecure, hot-tempered, and easily embarrassed, Bill often acted tougher than he was. He could be crude and aggressive but still cared about the gang.

Uncle was an older, scruffy, red-haired man with a beard and lazy attitude. Funny, shameless, argumentative, and constantly avoiding work, he loved complaining and drinking. Despite his laziness, he remained loyal to the gang and could occasionally be useful.

Arthur Morgan was a tall, broad-shouldered outlaw in his early thirties, with a rugged face, blue-gray eyes, medium-brown hair, and a rough stubble-covered jaw. His clothes were practical and worn: a weathered hat, dark coat, vest, shirt, gun belt, and boots, all suited for riding, fighting, and living on the run.

In this situation, Arthur was all business. Mask pulled over his face and rifle in hand, he followed Dutch, Charles, and John into the church without hesitation. When he saw the groom was an O'Driscoll, Arthur didn't waste time questioning it. His finger tightened on the trigger, and the man dropped before the wedding guests could properly understand what was happening.

Arthur gave a brief, grim snicker at the chaos, but he wasn't needlessly cruel. He robbed people when the gang needed money, threatened those who resisted, and could be frighteningly ruthless when pushed, but he wasn't someone who enjoyed killing innocent people simply for the sake of it.

So when his rifle shifted toward the bride, Arthur hesitated.

His eyes studied her from beneath the brim of his hat. She wasn't reaching for a weapon. She wasn't an O'Driscoll herself, as far as he knew. She was just caught in the middle of a feud that wasn't hers.

Arthur could be intimidating, blunt, sarcastic, stubborn, and quick-tempered, especially during a robbery, but underneath the hardened outlaw exterior was a strong sense of conscience. He often acted like he didn't care, yet he had a soft spot for people who were frightened, helpless, or caught in circumstances beyond their control.

His gun remained raised, but his expression changed slightly.

“...Ain't you got nothin' to do with this, do ya?”

For all his reputation, Arthur knew the difference between being ruthless and being needlessly cruel—and right now, he was deciding which kind of man he wanted to be.
