Ace Combat 30th Anniversary

Mobius 1:is the game's player character. While relatively unknown at the start of the game, he becomes a legendary ace throughout the war's events, particularly for his sole destruction of Stonehenge. His "ribbon insignia" became a morale booster for ISAF troops and a sign of fear for the Eruseans. Mobius 1 was the sole member of the Mobius Squadron until the final battle, in which all ISAF pilots were reorganized into the squadron. Mobius 1's story continues in Operation Katina, a separate set of arcade missions in Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War. According to canon, Mobius 1 flew the F-4E Phantom II and the F-22A Raptor exclusively, although the player can choose any aircraft they wish to fly.

AWACS SkyEye:is the ISAF Air Force's main Airborne Warning and Control System, supporting and providing battle data to ISAF pilots. SkyEye's radio operator acts professional throughout the game, although he does chat with the pilots from time to time, including when he reveals his birthday at the start and near the end of the game.

Blaze (real name unknown): is the player character and the protagonist of the game. Formerly a pilot trainee on Sand Island, he is selected as Captain Bartlett's fourth wingman for the first two missions of the game. After Bartlett is shot down and goes MIA, Blaze is promoted to Wardog leader and leads his squadron throughout the rest of the game.

Kei Nagase (callsign "Edge"): is the sole trainee survivor of the attack on Wardog Squadron prior to the game's events. After Bartlett goes MIA in the second mission, he refuses promotion to flight lead (offered as the most experienced pilot of the squad), instead resolving to protect Blaze no matter what.

Alvin H. Davenport (callsign "Chopper"): is another member of the squadron. While loud and disrespectful of his superiors (including Blaze, whom he refers to as "Kid" instead of "Captain" despite his seniority), Chopper proves to be a valuable asset to the team as well as comic relief to lighten the mood during tense moments.

Hans Grimm (callsign "Archer"): is the youngest member of Wardog Squadron. While still a trainee, during a Yuktobanian air raid early in the game, Grimm helps the base mechanic prepare the last working aircraft and climbs into it himself, officially joining the squadron in battle. He lacks self-confidence and experience but proves to be a talented pilot throughout the game.

Marcus Snow (callsign "Swordsman"): is the commander of the OFS Kestrel's air defense squadron. He has recurring appearances throughout the game's events.

Cipher (callsign "Galm One"; real name unknown):is the player character of the game and the flight lead of the 66th Air Force Unit. His real identity and name are never revealed, but he eventually distinguishes himself as "The Demon Lord of the Round Table" by defeating a large number of Belkan aces over the Airspace B7R. Although the player is free to choose any plane for Cipher, he canonically flies an F-15C Eagle.

Larry "Pixy" Foulke (callsign "Galm Two"; also known as "Solo Wing"):is the player's original wingman, introduced in the first mission. His nickname "Solo Wing" refers to an incident before the events of the game when he lost the right wing of his Eagle in combat, but still managed to land it safely. To commemorate this event, Pixy sports a unique paint scheme with his right wing painted bright red. This story may have been based on a real life training incident with an Israeli F-15D Eagle in 1983. Pixy goes missing in action in mission 12 but returns in the final one. Before his disappearance, he piloted an F-15C Eagle like Cipher.

Patrick James "PJ" Beckett (callsign "Crow Three", later "Galm Two"):is first introduced as a member of the supporting Crow Squadron in mission 09. However, when Pixy goes MIA, PJ replaces him as Cipher's wingman, flying with him until the final mission. Throughout the game, he flies an F-16C Fighting Falcon.

Talisman: is the silent player character of the game. He leads the Garuda Team, consisting of himself and Marcus Lampert. Together, Talisman and Lampert fight valiantly to reclaim their homeland, earning a reputation as ace pilots.

Marcus Lampert (callsign "Shamrock"): is an Emmerian pilot who was assigned to the Garuda Team during the Invasion of Gracemeria. Forced to abandon his wife and daughter in Gracemeria, he fights ferociously to liberate Emmeria and return to his family.

Nemo:is the silent player character of the game, revealed to be an AI within a simulation. Originally a member of UPEO, Nemo can defect to any of the other organizations in the conflict. Although the player is free to choose any aircraft for Nemo, the game's cover depicts an Su-37 Super Flanker, implying that this is Nemo's canon aircraft.

Rena Hirose:is one of Nemo's fellow ace pilots of UPEO. She suffers from the Silverstone Disease, making direct sunlight lethal to her. As such, she flies a custom-made Su-37 Super Flanker-R.

Erich Jager:is another ace pilot of UPEO.

Fiona Chris Fitzgerald:is another pilot of UPEO, and the younger sister of Neucom ace Cynthia Fitzgerald.

Cynthia Bridgitte Fitzgerald:is the only ace pilot of Neucom and Fiona Fitzgerald's older sister. She flies an R-102 Delphinus 2, which she later replaces with a newer R-103 Delphinus 3.

Abyssal Dision:is the top ace of General Resource's air force, and the main antagonist of the game. He flies a customized F-15S/MT Eagle+ for most of the game.

Keith Bryan:is Dision's wingman and a fellow ace of General Resources.

Callsign Trigger (real name unknown):is the player character and the silent protagonist of the game. Clown signed him on prior to the war to fill an empty spot in Mage Squadron, but Trigger shows true combat potential throughout the conflict. Following an incident during a mission, Trigger is sent to the 444th Air Base as a prisoner.

David North:is a military analyst for the Ocean Intelligence Agency and has been keeping tabs on the Alicorn. He provides helpful intel to Trigger and the rest of Strider Squadron during their missions to stop the submarine.

Lanza:is an Ocean Air Defense Force pilot and a member of the Cyclops Squadron of the Long Range Strategic Strike Group, having been transferred from the Strider Squadron. As a pilot with a relaxed attitude, he tends to say "Wow".

Count:is an Ocean Air Defense Force fighter pilot and a member of the Long Range Strategic Strike Group, as well as a former member of the Spare Squadron.

The self-proclaimed leader of the Spare Squadron, he often inflated his kill reports, garnering significant attention from the base commander D. McKinsey.

His propensity for exaggerating his own feats, most especially his kill count has made out an impression of him being something of a pathological liar, as seen during his time as a member of Spare Squadron, where none of his fellow squad mates and even AWACS Bandog regarded any information he gave out to be trustworthy and reliable.

Jaeger:is an Ocean Air Defense Force pilot and a member of the Strider Squadron. He is the father of Erich Jager.

Húxiān:is an Ocean Air Defense Force pilot and a member of Strider Squadron, having been transferred from the Cyclops Squadron. Although she can be foulmouthed at times, she cares for her wingmen.

Skald:is an Ocean Air Defense Force fighter pilot who flew as a member of the Strider Squadron and Cyclops Squadron during the Lighthouse War. As a calm and collected pilot, he does not speak unnecessarily.

Rex:he's the leader of Joker Squadron with his wingmen being Professor (posing as Joker 2), Tasha and Noise. Jane "Rex" Cope. He bore the nickname "Wings of Theve"; although he was shot down and apparently drowned during the early stages of the war, while his co-pilot survived and got on a rescue raft with a fellow (currently unnamed) pilot before being saved by the Endurance, which had retreated far from the frontlines.

Ellington Baxter, callsign Professor: is one of the FCU Navy aviators stationed on the FCU Endurance. He is the second in command of Joker Squadron, flying as Joker 2. He is Rex's wingman in Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve. Lieutenant Commander, Joker Flight's No. 2, and the calm hand that holds the rest of them together. Highly knowledgeable and considerate, Baxter once served as a university lecturer, although he has never revealed his field. Tasha calls him “Teach,” and the two of them can often be found studying together in the mess.

Tasha:Ensign Tasha Seversky is a Yuktobanian aerobat and an aviator of the Federation of Central Usea's navy. While originally a star pilot of the Yuktobanian aerobatics unit Team Zvezda, Seversky was trapped aboard the FCU Endurance upon the outbreak of the Sotoa-FCU conflict. Although her situation was unusual, the desperation of the FCU's situation led to her becoming part of Joker Flight, flying as Joker 3.
Tasha will be one of the player's wingmen in Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve.

Noise:William Coster, callsign Noise, is one of the FCU Navy aviators stationed on the FCU Endurance. He is part of Joker Squadron. He is Rex's wingman in Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve. A skilled wingman capable of keeping up with Tasha's extreme maneuvers and providing effective cover. A diehard rock music fan, Coster brings a compact music player into the cockpit to listen to during missions.
