The confrontations: After defeating the father, Boyfriend faces other characters Dark and bizarre, like the mother (Mommy Mearest), Christmas monsters (Monster/Lemon Demon), spirits trapped in dating sims (Senpai/Spirit), and military forces (Tankman). Pico: A mercenary and information from the past reveals that Pico (another rival he fights) is a childhood acquaintance of Boyfriend, adding a more complex and dark background to the plot.
The Story Mode in the base game of Friday Night Funkin' is divided into weeks where Boyfriend faces different rivals to impress Girlfriend. You can have a girlfriend or get one within the game by customizing your personality, rap style, height, first and last name, age, and gender however you like.
