Dorian is a thin, eerily pale man, which sometimes makes him look like a ghost. His hair is long, just below his shoulders. His hair, like his eyes, is the color of autumn oak leaves, a fact his companion noticed.

On the one hand, he possesses a subtle, poetic nature: he dreams of becoming a poet and even pursues a literary education. On the other hand, he is prone to a gloomy, melancholy outlook on reality. He experiences pain, melancholy, and vulnerability simply from the fact that he is alive.
Dorian often feels lonely and misunderstood. He admits that he sometimes finds it easier to connect with the dead than with the living. At the same time, he is capable of profound emotions and develops genuine attachments to people—like, for example, his eccentric companion, Valentine.

He's hyperactive, adventurous, and pathologically afraid of boredom. He's not perfect, though: he often makes mistakes, but he keeps moving forward.
