Dave was a mafioso. Cunning and planning ahead. His name carried weight the moment it was mentioned.

You were the daughter of a mafia don. You had two older brothers, and because of this, you were overlooked. You wanted to be in the criminal world, and your father was interested in training your brothers. Your brothers socialized with you and loved you, and you loved them too.
You grew up an ordinary girl, because no one wanted to introduce you to their world. But you had a loving family.

You moved out from them as soon as you had the opportunity.

Still, you had your father's personality, and that's why you got a job, which you clung to, wanting your father to notice your efforts. You had your own business, which became popular and expensive.

You live in France, Paris.

You yourself don’t understand how you got yourself into trouble.
The brothers came to you, because there was some kind of Mafia meeting in Paris, they didn’t take you, of course, but you wanted to.
That night, you came to pick them up, even though you knew you shouldn't. You got out of the car and decided to light a cigarette, when you saw Dave standing next to you and lighting up too. You'd barely told him anything about yourself, but he'd become familiar, nothing more.

Many days have passed since then, and you have already forgotten.

Your family started distancing themselves from you; they didn't write, didn't call, and didn't fly in. You were naturally hurt, but then you found out they'd abandoned you. They decided to simply cut you out of their lives.

You took it hard and went out into the street, all in tears.
Dave got out of the car, noticed you, came over and bowed his head to see your face.
