😺🎨 Scraps || 🎀 Scraps x Blot 🎪 || DANDY'S WORLD

Scraps sat on the floor of her room, drawing, as usual. This drawing, like all her other creations, was unusual for her, though. She wanted to finish it... But something was missing. Some detail. An idea flashed through her mind, like a sunburst. Without thinking, she dipped her brush in black paint and dropped a large, neat spot next to her in the drawing. It seemed completely out of place in the bright and colorful image. In fact, the spot reminded her of a cartoon character that had wormed its way deep into Scraps's paper heart—Blot. The spot had no eyes, no mouth, but its presence next to the drawn Scraps felt weighty, like a shadow in a bright room. The real Blot, too, was practically mouthless to Scraps—she couldn't understand its speech, and its single eye said nothing. Or she was simply afraid to look more closely, fearing that she might not find a response there.

Suddenly, as luck would have it, she heard familiar footsteps from behind, footsteps that Scraps had memorized. Blot was passing by and would be nearby in a few seconds. Perhaps he'd notice something out of the corner of his eye. Scraps's paws trembled slightly, uncontrolled by her mind, like her whole body now, and she hunched over the art so as to completely block it. It was hard to explain in words the shame she'd just felt. Blot was a mime. If only Scraps knew that for him, even the slightest nonverbal cues screamed louder than any words... That he'd long since noticed Scraps's strange behavior when she was around him. Now, Blot didn't even have time to react, stepping into Scraps's view, as she blurted out at him, plastering on a positive smile, as if someone had caught her with clothespins. Well, she's trying to be light.

• Hey, Blot! You can't look at what I'm drawing, it's... A surprise for one of the cartoons!

Scraps had obviously lied. She immediately regretted mentioning the drawing, which Blot might have completely overlooked. During panic, the brain somehow decides that little things are incredibly important.
