SCP Foundation

The Medical Division is a division of the Foundation dedicated to the preservation of the health and well-being of personnel and certain SCPs. The medical department specializes in the treatment of abnormal diseases and wounds, although it can also provide care for common diseases. The Department of Pataphysics is a division of the Foundation dedicated to the research and containment of Pataphysical, Narrative, and Literary SCPs.
Office of Records Management and Information Security - The Division of the Foundation responsible for the security of the Foundation's servers and databases, and ensuring that confidential information is only accessible to personnel with lower security clearances.
Scientific Division - A department of the Foundation dedicated to the study, interaction, and testing of certain anomalies and their consequences. The Science Department conducts interviews with intelligent anomalous beings, tests certain effects of anomalies, and passes on valuable knowledge to other departments. D-Class personnel are part of this department as they are required for many of the Scientific Division's operations. [2]
The Department of Security is the Foundation's division responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all inhabitants of Foundation facilities. The Security Department is highly qualified in countering violations of the isolation regime and the penetration of the State Administration. [2]
The Telecommunications Monitoring Division is a division of the Foundation that specializes in monitoring and processing information about telephone calls around the world.
The Temporal Anomalies Division is a unit of the Foundation dedicated to researching and containing temporary, retrocausal, or counter-historical SCPs. Part of an external agency called the Research and Containment Group.

The Division of Unreality
The Office of Tactical Response to Emerging Threats is a division of the Foundation that specializes in responding to anomalous threats and coordinating large-scale/global operations.
Engineering and Technical Department is a division of the Foundation engaged in the design and construction of facilities, territories and protective shells of the Foundation; In the latter case, they work closely with the Protective Shells Department. The engineering department is also responsible for the maintenance and repair of equipment necessary for the operation of the Foundation.
The Firefighting Division is the Foundation's division dedicated to the protection, health, and safety of Foundation personnel.
The Intelligence Agency is a division of the Foundation dedicated to the search for possible anomalies and the activities of anomalous groups. Its agents are embedded in almost all major settlements.
The Internal Security Division is the Foundation's division dedicated to finding and identifying traitors within the Foundation. Only the best of the best are recruited into the AXO, and it is usually considered a myth.
The Internal Tribunal Division is a division of the Foundation dedicated to sentencing and punishing personnel who commit crimes that threaten the Foundation, humanity, or Foundation allies. The Internal Tribunal Division also handles appeals from Fund staff and external staff. It cooperates with the Ethics Committee to ensure that penalties are imposed in accordance with the Foundation's charter.
The Logistics Division is a division of the Foundation that transports objects and personnel to various facilities, such as SCPs, materials and objects produced in ManD, or simply transport for VIPs. They also manage warehouses throughout the Foundation, making sure that they are fully staffed and managed with maximum efficiency.

The Department of Power Operations is a division of the Foundation that performs many tasks that require the involvement of highly qualified and specialized teams. It is responsible for dozens of different teams, including the Task Force Department, which manages mobile task forces around the world. Many task forces within the task force department are designed to deal with certain types of anomalies and "interest groups," while others may be involved in infiltration or reconnaissance. [2]
The Containment Division is the Foundation's division dedicated to developing, testing, and implementing new containment protocols. [2]
The Deletions Division is an unregistered division of the Foundation and a partially independent unit consisting of remote employees who have appeared on deleted SCiPnet pages.
The Division of External Relations is the Foundation's arm responsible for concealing anomalies from the public, recruiting new personnel, and managing Foundation personnel. They are also involved in the Foundation's diplomacy between interest groups. [2]
The Disinformation Unit is a Foundation unit dedicated to researching and containing information-threatening, memetic/antimemetic, linguistic, and other metaphysical SCPs.
The Department of Mythology and Folklore Studies is a division of the Foundation dedicated to the research and containment of mythological, ancient, and sometimes supernatural SCPs.
The Procurement and Disposal Division is the Foundation's division dedicated to the acquisition and destruction of anomalous objects.

The foundation has many subgroups, usually specializing in a certain niche of the organization's activities. However, they are all part of at least one of the following divisions:

The Division of Administration is the division of the Fund that deals with general operations, management and recruitment. This department also serves as the accounting department of the Fund, ensuring its financial stability. The Administrative Section consists of the O5 Board, the Ethics Committee, and the Board of Directors of the Sites.
The Ethics Committee is a division of the Foundation that reviews and approves certain containment procedures. Despite their vital role to the Foundation, most of the organization's employees often treat them with humor. Nevertheless, they are an incredibly important part of the Foundation, as they ensure compliance with ethical standards.
The Alchemy Department is a division of the Foundation dedicated to research and manipulation of the aetheric forces and the Great Seal.
The Anomalous Entity Interaction Division is a division of the Foundation that specializes in anomalous interactions between personnel and anomalies.
The Antimnemics Division is a division of the Foundation that studies antimnemic hazards. The Antimnemics Division is not officially recognized by the O5 Council and operates in the shadows of the Foundation.
The Artificial Intelligence Applied Research Division is a division of the Foundation dedicated to research and development in artificial intelligence, the containment of anomalous AIs, and the creation of .aic.
The Department of Cryptozoology is a division of the Foundation dedicated to the research and containment of cryptid-like anomalies and other parafuans.
The Decommissioning Unit is a Foundation unit dedicated to the destruction/disposal of SCPs deemed too complex or dangerous to contain. SCPs that have been destroyed are identified by the letter "-D".
The Department of Anomalies is a mysterious group not affiliated with the SCP Foundation that is dedicated to investigating and containing SCP-like objects called anomalies.

Members of the O5 Council are senior executives of the Foundation. There are 13 in total, and they form a Board that sets long-term goals, develops projects, and strategically plans across the organization. One common mistake is to mention an O5 Council member in a situation where, by all logic, his intervention is not required. O5 does not approve experiments or make routine decisions regarding the containment of individual objects; It's as if in a large company, every visit to the file cabinet requires the permission of the CEO.

Security officers (guards), response teams and mobile task forces
Mobile task forces are an analogue of special units of the FSB and GRU, consisting of professionals in their fields; they are used in critical operations or when local law enforcement agencies are unable to cope with the situation. For more information on Mobile Task Forces, see the MTF article, but the main rules are that Mobile Task Forces are not necessarily tied to any particular institution, but are only called in cases where a very specific or extremely dangerous situation has arisen.
An army analogy can also be drawn: security guards are similar to military police, response teams are similar to infantry units that are directly involved in hostilities, MTF is similar to special forces units.
Another analogy is that of hospitals: security guards are similar to orderlies, response teams are similar to general practitioners, Mobile Task Force operatives are similar to specialist doctors and surgeons.

Security officers (security guards), response teams and mobile operational groups
Guards are an analogue of police patrol and guard service. They are confronted with a large number of cases on a daily basis that do not require the use of firearms or the arrest of people, such as the investigation of a traffic accident or the need to regulate traffic. The average police officer is not necessarily well trained or equipped to handle a truly difficult situation, such as an armed bank robbery or a shooting in a public place. By this analogy, the average security officer only possesses basic equipment and is not necessarily properly trained to deal with a containment breach or attack by an external enemy.
Response groups or tactical groups are an analogue of the SOBR, they are equipped with more advanced bulletproof vests and have a large number of various weapons and special devices, as well as are much better trained. In this analogy, facility response teams have heavy weapons at their disposal and are able to deal with SCP-682 containment breaches, while the primary responsibility of the facility's guards will be to call for help and assist non-combat personnel in evacuation, and are not to fight the rabid lizard.

Content specialists are direct analogues of engineers and technicians; Their duties include creating and maintaining a variety of containment rooms for anomalous objects and creatures. These are non-combat personnel; Some containment personnel may be trained and equipped with light firearms, but most of these personnel do not carry anything more dangerous than an adjustable wrench.

Agents are two types of field agents, most of the time operating outside of Foundation facilities:
The first type are agents who are undercover or embedded in a service. This can be a police station, hospital, or other place where you are likely to experience abnormal activity. Such agents monitor all such events and report anything suspicious to their superiors. A very common misconception is the belief that the Foundation is composed almost exclusively of agents and researchers. This is not the case, and behind each contained SCP object is a large number of personnel with a wide variety of positions and responsibilities, each of whom contributes to ensuring safe containment.

Researchers are scientists, and they are best thought of as stereotypical eggheads in lab coats. Their specialties can be very different - from medicine and psychology to geology and physics. They are the ones who conduct experiments and try to understand how a particular SCP object works. Main full-time positions of research fellows:
Senior research fellows are high-ranking researchers with decades of experience under their belt, usually leading entire teams of scientists. Senior researchers are usually few and far between, most often managing the overall course of research and overseeing the conduct of experiments with one or more SCPs.
Ordinary researchers usually have about a dozen years of experience, and are most often assigned to investigate a single aspect of an anomaly exhibited by an SCP object. For example, one researcher may search for the reason why SCP-173 produces organic waste, while another will investigate what the object is made of, and whether any anomalous materials were used in its creation. A third will try to figure out why an object is moving only when it is not being looked.
Junior researchers or assistant researchers are low-ranking researchers who have either just been hired or are not yet experienced enough to conduct serious research on their own. They are part of scientific groups and usually work together with more senior researchers who provide general guidance and see them up to date.

When this designation was originally introduced, it was implied that the "D" stands for "Disposable". The use of D-Class personnel is one of the oldest and most controversial traditions. Initially, it was assumed that all D-Class personnel would be eliminated at the end of each month; this is highly implausible, especially considering that the Foundation needs a huge number of personnel data, and if the practice of their monthly destruction is constantly practiced, there will simply not be enough prisoners sentenced to death in the world. For this reason, many have come to believe that the monthly extermination is disinformation aimed at reducing any kind of emotional attachment of the scientific staff to D-Class personnel; there is a widely accepted version that at the end of the month, D-Class personnel are simply erased and then transferred to another facility. Over time, this theory has evolved: D-Class personnel are only killed if their physical or mental health does not allow them to perform their duties effectively (or if they have been exposed to an anomalous infection), but they are constantly administered amnestics. The choice of an appropriate explanation for the article lies entirely with the author. Protocol 12 is a rarely mentioned instruction that the Foundation may recruit D-Class personnel from among non-death row inmates in cases of emergency. Of course, the frequent reference to Protocol 12 had a negative impact on the Foundation's core message; yes, the Foundation could go far enough to cross the line to protect humanity, but it would not waste human life, especially not the life of an innocent.

The most important is secrecy: you don't need anyone other than senior executives to know everything about everything, but you do want some employees to have access to certain information they need to perform their duties. A simple army analogy: A private (the lowest military rank) is engaged in providing radio communications for a very important covert operation involving special forces. As the Foundation is a world-class clandestine organization, this principle should be an integral part of all its operations. Additional clarification: An employee cannot access a particular project if their security clearance is too low to obtain such information. However, simply having the required security clearance level does not automatically mean that the employee has access to the project - the employee must have a good reason to get it.

Site Managers:
Site Leaders manage the Foundation's core facilities and are the highest-ranking personnel in the regions where they are located. They are responsible for the continuous safe operation of their institution, the containment of all anomalies in it, as well as the implementation of projects related to them. The heads of all major local services report to the Site Leader, who in turn reports to the O5 Council.

O5 Council Members:
The O5 Council is a senior management committee of the Foundation. They have full access to all information related to contained anomalies, oversee all global operations of the Foundation, and are responsible for long-term strategic planning. Given the importance of their position, members of the O5 Council are not allowed to come into contact with any anomalous objects, beings, or phenomena. In addition, the identities of all members of the Council are classified, using only their numerical designations (O5-1 through O5-13).

Field Agents:
Field Agents are the eyes and ears of the Foundation. They are trained to look for and investigate any signs of anomalous activity. At the same time, they often work undercover in law enforcement agencies or are embedded in local services, for example, the ambulance service or control services. Due to the need to maintain cover, field agents are generally not equipped with the equipment necessary to handle anomalous activity. As such, once the existence of such activity is confirmed, the agent will usually call in an appropriately equipped containment team from the nearest Foundation facility. It is the task of securing the potential SCP object and bringing it into containment.
MTF Operatives:
Mobile Task Forces are specialized units composed of veteran agents from a wide variety of Foundation facilities and used in cases of specific threats. Their composition is extremely diverse - a mobile task force can consist of field researchers specializing in a certain type of anomalies, or it can be a heavily armed squad trained to cope with a specific type of hostile anomalous creatures. Security Officers:
The Facility Security Service (often referred to simply as "security") is responsible for providing physical and information security for Foundation projects, operations and personnel. Security officers are recruited mainly from the military, law enforcement and correctional personnel. They possess many weapons and are trained to deal with a range of emergencies, including both containment violations and hostile acts. Security officers are also responsible for information security, in particular for protecting the institution's computer systems from outside intrusion, as well as for safeguarding physical copies of classified documents. In addition, security personnel are often the first line of defense in the event of a hostile intrusion into a Foundation facility.
Response Team Members:
Response Teams or Task Forces are highly trained and heavily armed military units that accompany containment teams when dealing with aggressive anomalous entities or representatives of hostile related organizations. They are also responsible for protecting Foundation institutions from hostile interference. Response teams are available in all major agencies of the Fund and are always available at short notice.

The following are the most common job titles used by the Foundation.

Facility Staff::
Containment Specialists:
Containment Specialists in Foundation facilities play two primary roles. Containment teams are primarily dispatched to areas of confirmed anomalous activity in order to secure the potential SCP object, ensure its initial containment procedures, and transport it to the nearest Foundation facility.

In addition, Foundation engineers and technicians are involved in the development, improvement, and maintenance of chambers, as well as other means necessary to contain anomalous objects, entities, or phenomena.

Research Fellows
are responsible for the Foundation's research activities and are drawn from among the most gifted and qualified scientists around the world. Among them are specialists in all possible fields of knowledge, from chemistry and botany to such little-known and highly specialized fields as theoretical physics and xenobiology. The goal of the Foundation's research projects is to better understand unexplained anomalies and how they work.

Class E:
Class E is a temporary designation given to field agents and personnel involved in containment if they have been exposed to potentially hazardous effects during the time a new facility is being contained. E-Class personnel are to be quarantined as soon as possible and monitored for potentially harmful changes in their behavior, personality, or physiology. Such officers may return to their duties only after a full interrogation, medical examination and psychiatric examination.

Class C:
Class C is assigned to personnel with direct access to most anomalies that do not pose a threat or show hostility. C-Class personnel who have been in direct contact with potential sources of mental or memetic exposure may be subject to mandatory quarantine or psychiatric evaluation, at the discretion of security. In the event of a containment breach or hostile action against a Foundation facility, non-combatant C-Class personnel are to either report to the facility's secure area or, in the event of a massive containment breach or other catastrophic event, evacuate at the discretion of local security.
Class D:
Class D is assigned to consumable personnel used to work with extremely dangerous anomalies. They are not allowed to have any contact with Class A or B. D-Class personnel are usually recruited from prisoners around the world, with preference given to those convicted of violent crimes, especially those sentenced to death. In cases of emergency, Protocol 12 may be enforced, providing for the recruitment of personnel from alternative sources, such as political prisoners, refugees and other civilians. D-Class personnel are to be subjected to regular psychiatric evaluations, and at the end of the month, they are to be either administered Class-B amnestics (or higher) or terminated, at the discretion of local security or medical personnel. In the event of a catastrophic event at the facility, all D-Class local personnel are to be terminated immediately, unless the local security service decides otherwise.

Classes are assigned to personnel based on the density of their contact with potentially dangerous anomalous objects, creatures, or phenomena.
Class A:
Class A is assigned to personnel who are considered vital to the Foundation's strategic operations, and are therefore prohibited from any direct access to anomalous objects. If A-Class personnel need to be in the vicinity of such anomalies for any reason (e.g., if they are working in a containment facility), they are required to stay in protected areas at all times, and they are not allowed access to the facilities that are directly contained. In emergency situations, Class A personnel are to be evacuated immediately to a predetermined and safe area outside the facility. Members of the O5 Council are assigned Class A on a permanent basis.
Class B:
Class B is assigned to staff members who are considered essential to the Fund's local operations. They are only allowed access to anomalous objects, beings, and phenomena that have been quarantined and subjected to measures to block possible mental or memetic influence. In the event of a containment breach or hostile action against a Foundation facility, B-Class personnel are to be evacuated as soon as possible to a predetermined and secure area outside of the facility.

Level 4 (Top Secret):
Level 4 clearance is granted to senior management personnel who need access to all information of a particular institution and/or region, as well as long-term plans regarding Foundation operations and scientific projects. Generally, Level 4 clearance is reserved for Site Leaders, Facility Security Chiefs, and MTF Commanders.
Level 5 (Thaumiel):
Level 5 security clearance is granted to senior Foundation personnel and guarantees near-complete access to all strategic and classified information. Generally, only members of the O5 Council have Level 5 clearance.

Level 0 (General Use):
Level 0 clearance is granted to personnel of no particular value who do not require access to information about anomalous artifacts or creatures contained by the Foundation. As a rule, Level 0 clearance is held by employees holding positions in the office and supply department of institutions not directly related to the maintenance of facilities, as well as by the maintenance personnel of such institutions.
Level 1 (For Official Use):
Level 1 clearance is granted to personnel who work in close proximity to anomalous objects or entities, but do not have direct, indirect, or informational access to them, as well as personnel who deal with classified information. Generally, Level 1 clearance is held by employees in the office and supply departments of facilities directly involved in the maintenance of facilities, as well as by the maintenance personnel of such facilities.
Level 2 (Restricted):
Level 2 security clearance is granted to security personnel and researchers who need direct access to basic information regarding anomalous objects or entities in containment. Most researchers, field agents, and containment specialists are Level 2 clearances.
Level 3 (Classified):
Level 3 clearance is granted to senior security personnel and research personnel who need access to detailed information regarding anomalous objects or entities in containment, including their origin, circumstances of removal, and long-term plans for them. Most senior researchers, project managers, security officers, response team members, and MTF operatives are Level 3 clearers.

Non-Standard Classes:
Neutralized: Either destroyed or lost SCP's anomalous effects.
Reasonable: SCPs whose anomalous effects can be fully explained by classical science.
Decommissioned: Objects intentionally destroyed or lacking anomalous properties at the Foundation's discretion.
Pending Assignment: SCPs that have not yet been assigned a class, to indicate that the Foundation does not have sufficient information about the anomaly at the time of its investigation.
Not contained: SCPs that are currently missing. Later, they can be assigned any of the above classes.
Non-systemic: Additional feature classes not listed above are usually mentioned in specific articles and used once.

Secondary Classes:
Apollion: Objects that will sooner or later lead to the demise of humanity, the end of the world, or the disruption of the universe.
Archon: SCPs whose containment is theoretically possible, but for some reason it is best not to contain them.
Ticonderoga: SCPs that cannot be contained, but are not necessary.

Main Classes:
Safe: SCPs that are stored securely and efficiently. "Safe" may require certain deterrence measures, but this does not mean that dangerous situations are expected.
Euclid: SCPs that are either not well studied enough to be reliably contained, or behave in unpredictable ways.
Keter: SCPs, which pose a great danger to humanity and reality in general, require extremely complex and costly containment procedures.
Thaumiel: SCPs that are highly classified are extremely rare and are used by the Foundation to contain or counteract other anomalies of great danger.

Examples:

The Chaos Insurgency, a terrorist group affiliated with the Foundation, attempt to capture SCP objects in order to use them against their opponents;
The Global Occult Coalition (GOC) is a secret paramilitary agency of the United Nations that specializes in destroying supernatural threats rather than containing them;
The Serpent's Hand is a fighting group that defends the rights of anomalous beings while resisting the efforts of the Foundation and the GOC.
Other interest groups seek to exploit anomalies for their own purposes (religious, political, ideological) or to produce/sell them for monetary gain.

The SCP Foundation is a secret organization dedicated to finding, capturing, containing, and studying (sometimes destroying) anomalous objects, entities, places, phenomena, and other objects. For this purpose, the organization is endowed with the appropriate powers of most of the main governments of the Earth. Uncontained SCPs are most often a threat to humanity, or at least to the normalcy of this world.

The Foundation keeps its existence (as well as anomalous objects) secret in order to prevent mass panic and associated chaos and to allow human civilization to function normally.
When a new anomaly is detected, the Foundation will dispatch one of its Mobile Task Forces (Mobile Task Forces) to capture and transport the object to the appropriate Foundation area, or to contain it at the site of discovery if transportation is not feasible. Captured SCP objects are subject to scrutiny. Foundation-acquired prison inmates, most of whom are sentenced to death, are referred to as D-Class personnel and are used to interact with SCP objects as consumables.
The Foundation maintains documentation of each SCP contained, which may include links to related reports and files. These documents describe the objects and include instructions for their safe maintenance.
