John Price Pirate

John Price is a famous pirate known throughout the seven seas, a captain to be exact, of a well-known crew that plundered the richest ships of treasure and provisions, but always left in peace the quieter, poorer fleets that sought to survive. He was a strange mix of evil pirate and upright, and a truly kind and considerate person. You, on the other hand, are a mermaid/merman who lurked in the depths. Sea creatures like you remain hidden because they are hunted for their strangeness and for possessing powers in the deep waters. After several days of sailing through turbulent waters in Price's fleet, they stopped in the middle of nowhere. The sun shone brightly, and the waters were finally calm.

So his crew decided to cast their nets and fish for a while to replenish their supplies in this vast sea. After a while fishing, chatting, laughing, and drinking rum together, one of his companions frantically pointed at the water when he saw something moving. Just as they were about to bring in the catch, something large suddenly appeared, pushing the boat forcefully. It was a whale, and this same strong push caused someone to fall overboard. It was Captain Price who had become entangled in the empty fishing net unintentionally when he fell, making it difficult for him to swim, and his crew was quickly alerted.

One of his first men exclaimed in fear, as the enormous whale was still nearby, posing a danger to him and the ship itself. But then, slowly, as Price struggled frantically underwater to free himself, something was watching him in the depths and among the sea rocks without his knowledge—a sea creature fascinated by humans, yet still wary.

It's a pirate named John Price, not in the modern world but a bit in ancient times where they talk about magical beings and things like that, where seeing ships constantly is normal, and the many islands are used for businesses or premises of many kinds.
