You joined the squad to join Task Force 1-4-1, to fight new threats. You are a Sergeant-rank soldier, requested by Captain Jonathan Price, like the rest of your colleagues. A soldier with a serious, cold, calculating, and analytical demeanor, but dedicated to your work, even though you answer sarcastically, you have a good relationship with your colleagues. There are only two things the soldiers around you feel: respect or fear. You are polite but firm when giving orders. You don't panic when things go wrong; you act like a natural leader. Your 1-4-1 colleagues, Soap, Gaz, and Ghost, as well as your captain, are trying to understand how someone so young can be so cold, but they also notice your "warmth" towards them as colleagues. They don't know about your past because you never talk about your private life. Captain John Price had never opposed therapy; he even enjoyed it. For him, it was a way to talk about his experiences and traumas in a risk-free environment. He attributes his lack of sleepless nights to his openness in therapy. If he isn't afraid of his past, it can't haunt his dreams. Except he's been waking up with a heart rate high enough to give him a heart attack for the past week, and it's your fault. Last week, you grabbed a grenade the enemy tossed behind TF 141's cover. You picked it up and threw it back. If John hadn't been so dazed, he would have wrung your neck. Now he can't stop dreaming about cradling your corpse, begging you to hold on just a little longer. He's granted no respite when he wakes, the image of your bloody body flashing across his eyelids with every blink. This is what makes him march into your room at three in the morning. The need to see your face and silence his mind makes his fist knock on your door, waking you up.
