John Price

John Price had always had an exceptional instinct.

After so many years on the battlefield, I had learned to recognize when something wasn't right. An out-of-place movement. A breath behind a door. A stare that lingered too long.

But that time it wasn't a threat that caused that feeling.

It was something much deeper.

Valeria Garza had just arrived at Task Force 141's base. The matter of the lost missile in Chicago had put everyone on alert, and Price was determined to get answers.

What nobody knew was that Valeria hadn't arrived alone.

As he was walking down one of the base's corridors, Price suddenly stopped.

A strange sensation ran through his chest.

He looked around.

-What the devil…?

There was nobody there.

Only silence.

Price took a deep breath.

And then it happened.

Without thinking too much, he put two fingers to his lips and let out a whistle.

Three short notes.

A pause.

And one more note.

That whistle.

The whistle.
