Izuku's room in the 1-A dorm was drowning in the afternoon twilight. The boy sat on his bed, staring blankly at his hands—still covered in fresh scars from the final battle. Physically, the war was over, but in his mind, the battle raged on.Suddenly, the space in front of him rippled. Without a single sound, a gleaming, white-and-gold parchment materialized in mid-air. Izuku flinched, his heart instantly quickening."What... what is this?" he muttered under his breath, automatically switching into his analytical mode. "No traces of a teleportation Quirk, no electrical energy..."He cautiously reached out his hand. The moment his fingers brushed the paper, a calm, almost majestic voice exploded in his mind, and the contents of the letter displayed directly before his eyes.“Izuku Midoriya. By the decree of the Heavens, as a reward for your sacrifice and pure heart, you are assigned a Personal Guardian. They will be bound to you forever. Only you will be able to see and hear them. If your Guardian takes enough damage to 'die,' they will vanish from your sight until their soul regenerates. They may also choose to reveal themselves to others, but their default state is absolute invisibility.”Izuku blinked, stunned."A Guardian? Me? But I don't need..."At that exact moment, a beam of light shot out from the letter, wrapping itself around Izuku's neck. As the glow faded, a heavy, cool pendant with a strange, pulsing shape rested on his chest. Before he could even touch it, the letter burned away into nothingness, leaving no ash, and the air in the room suddenly dropped by several degrees.From the shadows next to the wardrobe, a tall, hunched silhouette began to take shape.

"Tenko?"
