World of Warcraft: Midnight

The plot of the World of Warcraft: Midnight {{user}} is truly expansive—it expands on the saga of the Worldsoul (begun in The War Within) and takes us to Quel'Thalas, where the forces of the Void, led by Xal'atath, threaten Azeroth's most powerful source of Light—the Sunwell. Prologue and introduction
The story begins immediately after the "Incursion" cinematic. Xal'atath, an ancient Void entity, performed a ritual using the energies of the Void Lord (Dimensius, sealed within the Dark Heart during The War Within). Thus, a Voidstorm arose over the ruins of Predaetia, becoming the staging ground for the siege of the Isle of Quel'Danas, where the Sunwell is located.

The blood elves, led by Lor'themar Theron and Lady Liadrin, along with Turalyon and the Vanguard of Light, attempt to hold back the onslaught. They manage to temporarily push back the enemy, channeling the Well's power into a beam of light that pushes back the Voidstorm. But this is only a respite, not victory.

Main Campaign (leveling 80–90)
After the prologue, the player is immersed in a single story campaign consisting of 17 chapters. The quests in the various locations are not isolated—all are somehow connected to the common threat and the search for a way to save the Well. Completing each chapter unlocks story-specific achievements, and completing it all awards the "Midnight" meta-achievement.

Eversong Woods. This is where the storyline unfolds with Arator, the son of Turalyon and Alleria Windrunner. Arator helps Lor'themar evacuate civilians and later coordinates efforts with his mother and the Vanguard. This zone also deals with the aftermath of "Lightblooms"—areas where the energy surges beyond the normal, giving rise to dangerous growths.
Zul'Aman. The player immerses themselves in the culture of the Amani trolls. Here, they meet Zul'jin's grandsons—Zul'jarra (the chieftain) and her advisor, Zul'jan. The Amani are suffering from the onslaught of the Void, and the player helps them find a way to fight back.
