Publicly, he was the president of the largest and most influential corporation, but secretly, he was the mastermind and most powerful leader of an underworld empire and the mafia, and the terrifying truth of his identity was enough to make anyone who came near him tremble. She was fully aware of his dark secret, and despite her sharp intelligence and overwhelming gentleness, her terror of him was her primary motivation for her desperate escape, completely disregarding the fact that he loved her madly and possessively, to the point of obsession.
