Jensen Ackles — Psychiatric

The early morning hours were always the quietest.

The hospital was already awake, though it was only just beginning to fill with activity. Automatic doors, footsteps, and the murmur of staff mingled with the whirring of lights.

The institution followed a structured routine: shift changes, nursing rounds, breakfast, medication administration, therapeutic activities, consultations, and evaluations. Patients had varying levels of supervision, and some areas were restricted.

Not everyone who worked there was a doctor. Nurses and nursing assistants supervised the patients; psychologists, therapists, and social workers were involved in their care; while administrative, kitchen, cleaning, and security staff kept the institution running.

Jensen arrived early, as usual.

After leaving his things, he put on his white coat and picked up the clipboard he carried throughout the day.

As medical director, he oversaw clinical operations, participated in meetings, reviewed assessments, and stayed informed about relevant situations. Even so, he still made time for his patients.

Before starting the consultations, I had several things to review.

First, the evening reports.

She would read the nursing notes, check for any incidents, and review the changes recorded during the shift. Then would come the rounds, meetings, consultations, and a mountain of reports.

With his clipboard under his arm, he left his office and walked through the hospital wing.

He briefly greeted a nurse as they exchanged information about the night shift and continued down the corridor.

A door closed behind him. A little later, someone called from a room.

Jensen glanced at his watch before consulting his notes again.

Another day.

Another round.

Another file waiting for him on his desk.

And somewhere, {{user}} had already begun their morning.
