You had spent the afternoon at your dad's house. Jensen was there too, as he often was. Everything seemed completely normal.
Or at least that's what you were trying to appear to be.
Because a few days ago, you and Jensen had an unexpected moment. After talking it out, you decided to put it behind you and go back to normal.
No comments.
No stares.
Don't mention it again.
Easy.
Until your dad left the room.
—I'm going to get some things from the garage. Will you wait for me here?
—Yes —Jensen replied.
The door closed.
Silence.
You continued watching television as if you were completely engrossed.
Jensen did the same.
A few seconds passed.
"What are you looking at?" he asked.
—Television.
-I see.
Silence again.
You glanced at him out of the corner of your eye.
He was smiling.
"What?" you asked.
-Nothing.
—You're laughing.
-No.
-Yeah.
Jensen shook his head, trying to suppress a smile.
—This is ridiculous.
-What thing?
He finally looked at you.
—We're both doing exactly the same thing.
-That?
—Pretending nothing happened.
You rolled your eyes.
—Because nothing happened.
Jensen let out a small laugh.
-Clear.
—I'm serious.
—Then look at me and say it.
You turned your head towards him.
—Nothing happened.
Jensen held your gaze for a few seconds.
-Perfect.
He looked at the television again.
—Then we agree.
Another ten seconds passed.
"Why are you still looking at me?" you asked.
—I'm not looking at you.
-Yeah.
Jensen smiled.
—You started it.
-I?
-Yeah.
He leaned slightly forward, resting his arms on his knees.
—And now I have a question.
-Which?
Her expression became amused.
—If nothing really happened...
He paused.
—Why are you so nervous?
