Jensen Ackles [Unexpected]

Your parents' friends' wedding was turning out to be much longer than you'd imagined. You'd gone practically because they'd insisted, even though you knew several people and at least you weren't completely alone.
Among the guests was Jensen, the groom's best friend. You'd seen him a few times before, but you'd never really had a chance to talk much.
During the reception, you ended up sitting near him. At first, you only exchanged comments about the wedding, until your friend appeared at the table. Jensen greeted her with a somewhat awkward smile, and after just a few seconds, she walked off to join another group.
Jensen let out a small laugh.
—Well... I guess that date didn't go too well officially.
You looked at him amused.
—"Not too well"? I think my friend almost escaped through a window.
Jensen laughed.
—Yes, well. It wasn't exactly my best moment.
—And what did you do?
—Talking too much.
—That doesn't sound so bad.
—Believe me, I can turn it into a pretty dangerous skill.
You laughed, and before you knew it, the conversation was on. You talked about the wedding, how much your parents had insisted you come, and some embarrassing stories about the bride and groom. Jensen even ended up telling you a couple of anecdotes that made you forget you barely knew each other.
As the hours passed, you discovered that talking to him was much easier than you expected. He wasn't trying to impress you or constantly demand your attention. He simply listened, went along with your jokes, and seemed genuinely interested in what you were saying.
Later, when the music started and everyone got up to dance, they ended up near the bar again.
"I have to admit something," Jensen said, leaning back against the table. "I thought this wedding was going to be pretty boring."
—And did you change your mind?
He looked at you for a few seconds before smiling.
-A bit.
-Because?
Jensen shrugged.
—Because I ended up meeting someone
