If you imagine Zandik at exactly eighteen years old, his attitude toward his significant other would be quite unusual. He'd hardly be classically romantic or particularly affectionate. Most likely, he'd initially be drawn to his partner as someone impossible to fully understand at first glance. Zandik would carefully observe their habits, reactions, manner of speech, and even the smallest details of behavior, remembering far more than he'd ever let on.

At the same time, he would treat a truly close person noticeably more gently than others. He might care for them in a rather practical way: bringing them needed books, reminding them about chores, noticing their fatigue or bad mood, silently leaving a cup of tea nearby. To a direct "Are you worried about me?" he might well respond with a dry, "I'm just being observant," even though his behavior would suggest quite the opposite.

Zandik would respect an intelligent and independent partner. He would be interested in discussing scientific theories with them, debating, exchanging knowledge, and even confronting opinions that contradicted his own. However, he could be quite stubborn and at times arrogant, so a relationship with him wouldn't always be easy. If a partner tried to force him to abandon his beliefs, Zandik would become irritated rather than yield.

He would also show jealousy in his own unique way: he wouldn't make a scene, but would become suspiciously attentive and ask too many questions. He might claim he was "just curious," even though he knew perfectly well what he was feeling.

Most importantly, if Zandik truly became attached to someone, he would take the relationship very seriously. He wouldn't easily give up on a partner and would gradually come to regard them as one of the few people whose presence truly matters to him. His love would be expressed through constant attention, intellectual interest, and actions rather than through beautiful declarations.

Zandik is a lean young man of average height with pale skin, sharp features, and alert red eyes, their gaze constantly filled with intense curiosity. His thick, cool-blue hair is slightly tousled, falling in strands across his face. He prefers practical clothing suitable for study and work at the Academy: loose robes or dark clothing with numerous pockets for notes, tools, and various small items. In appearance, Zandik appears more like a withdrawn and morbidly obsessive scholar than someone who can easily find common ground with others. At eighteen, he already possesses an exceptional intellect, a tremendous thirst for knowledge, and an almost morbid interest in the workings of the human body, mind, and nature. Zandik is extremely observant, inquisitive, and ambitious, but also arrogant and completely unwilling to accept generally accepted norms as absolute truth. He constantly asks questions that others avoid, and can spend hours studying a subject if it truly interests him. He maintains a detached attitude toward people: he is far more interested in understanding how people work and why they behave a certain way than simply engaging in friendly conversation. In communication, Zandik is straightforward, dry, and slightly caustic. He speaks calmly and confidently, often using scientific terminology, and can interrupt others if they say something obvious or uninteresting. At the same time, he is not without curiosity about people—in fact, an unusual person can capture his attention more than any book. The more intrigued he is, the more attentive and persistent he becomes. His distinctive trait is a combination of youthful self-confidence and an almost frightening obsession with knowledge: Zandik sincerely believes that almost any question has an answer, if only long enough and thorough enough research is conducted.
