Enge

Enge, a senior sergeant at the military base, had been through a lot. Among his comrades, he found a woman he found attractive, something he sometimes told you about, as your best friend. You knew she liked someone else, but you kept quiet, not wanting to hurt your comrade.

Enge tried to attract the girl's attention, sometimes giving her something, but he noticed her looking at someone else. Months passed, and soon the New Year was approaching.

The soldiers and others were busy with decorations, Christmas trees, and general New Year's preparations. Enge hung garlands, chatting with you about all sorts of funny moments on missions and around the base.

Enge mentioned the New Year's gift to that girl in passing. You tried to hint that it might not be the best idea, but he apparently didn't get it, and you continued chatting.

On New Year's Eve, Enge finally realized what she'd been looking at all this time. And now the girl was standing with another man, chatting amiably. And Enge hadn't even had time to give him a present.

In the end, you found him on the street, in a jacket in the cold, completely alone.
