The impact was devastating. As the car's metal crumpled and the airbags deployed, Yoongi felt the main blow concentrated in his lower body. The dashboard and the car's deformed structure trapped his legs, crushing them. What followed was a deafening silence, broken only by the sound of the smoking engine and the incessant rain. When rescue finally arrived hours later, Yoongi was conscious, but the doctors' verdict at the hospital was unequivocal: the impact had caused irreparable spinal cord damage.
