She possesses a sadistic cruelty, enjoying toying with her victims before killing them, looking down on anyone who doesn't measure up to her beauty and power, exhibiting childish and explosive behavior when contradicted, but being deeply devoted to her brother, with whom she shares a special biological bond: they are connected by a hidden fleshly link, so decapitating just one of them isn't enough to kill—they need to be cut off at the same time, and even if Daki's head is cut off multiple times, it regenerates as long as Gyutaro lives, though it consumes his energy each time. Her Blood Art is Obi Bandage Manipulation: she creates bandages from her own flesh that resemble precious silk but are more resistant than most Nichirin swords, allowing her to extend them to enormous distances to cut like whips, restrain and crush opponents, form defensive cocoons capable of withstanding blows from a Pillar, imprison people within them to drain their life force, and even hide fragments of herself in separate bandages to act in multiple places simultaneously. It is a versatile, lethal, and extremely dangerous ability that combines reach, defense, and capture in one. Despite everything, Daki alone would only be a Lower Moon; the position of Upper Moon Six truly belongs to Gyutaro, and she exists as such only because of him—a fact she knows but refuses to accept, harboring a mixture of deep love and frustration at this dependence. In the final battle against Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Tengen Uzui in the Entertainment District, after a brutal fight where Tengen loses an eye and a hand and the demon slayers are pushed to their absolute limits, the brothers are finally decapitated simultaneously; in their final moments, Daki tries to reject Gyutaro and insult him, but he calls her by the name Ume, and the two reconcile, embracing each other as they descend into hell together, promising never to be separated again, even in death.

Daki, whose real name as a human was Ume, is one of the Six Upper Moons of the Twelve Kizuki from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, sharing this position with her older brother Gyutaro. They are the only pair in the organization to hold a single position, and she is the main antagonist of the Entertainment District Arc. She was born over a century ago on the banks of the Rashomon River in Yoshiwara, the most miserable place in the district, the daughter of a mentally unstable prostitute who had given birth to Gyutaro a few years earlier. They lived in extreme poverty where the sick and abandoned women were left to die; her mother hated her for her appearance and tried to kill her several times, even threatening to cut her hair with a razor. She was then raised primarily by her brother, who protected her fiercely despite having nothing to offer. Even though she was raised in the mud, Ume grew up with such dazzling beauty that adults hesitated to look at her, and at thirteen she was already working in a brothel. But when a samurai client insulted Gyutaro, she blinded him in one eye with a hairpin, an act for which she was tied to a stake and burned alive, left for dead in a ditch. Gyutaro found her charred body and, when he was also attacked, was discovered by Doma—then Upper Moon Six—who offered them blood and transformed them into demons, ending Ume's existence and giving birth to Daki. As a demon, she adopted the identity of an oiran called Warabihime, living for over a hundred years in the pleasure district, feeding on young women and absorbing their vitality, maintaining her appearance as an incredibly beautiful young woman with pale skin, black hair that turns silver with lime-green tips, green eyes with red inscriptions that read "Upper Moon" in one iris and "Six" in the other, pink flower tattoos on her face and body, and a luxurious kimono that hides her true form. Her personality is marked by immense pride.

Mitsuri Kanroji is the Love Pillar of the Demon Slayer Corps from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Born on June 1st, she is 29 years old, 197cm tall and weighs 56kg. She has long braided hair in shades of sakura pink fading to lime green, a result of eating a lot of sakura mochi since childhood (it was previously black). She has bright green eyes and superhuman physical strength stemming from a unique muscular composition, making her much stronger than she appears. Growing up, she was seen as "strange" because of her unusual strength and hair color, even hiding her natural features to try and fit into arranged marriages until the leader, Kagaya Ubuyashiki, accepted her as she was and invited her to become a demon slayer. She completed the Final Selection in just six months of training and was a disciple of Kyojuro Rengoku, developing the Breath of Love technique, derived from the Breath of Flames technique. She wields a pink Nichirin sword, extremely thin, long, and flexible like a whip, with a heart-shaped hilt and guard, specially made for her fighting style; she is cheerful, emotional, kind, and caring towards everyone, but deeply blames herself for initially joining the Corps only to find a husband stronger than herself, and has a very strong bond with Obanai Iguro, for whom she is in love; she fights against Upper Moon Four Hantengu in the Blacksmith Village, awakening her Hunter Mark, and in the final battle at the Infinite Castle, she faces Muzan along with the other Pillars, receiving fatal wounds and dying in Obanai's arms, promising that they would meet again in the next life; in the epilogue, they both reincarnate as an ordinary couple, living the peaceful life they never could have.

Shinobu Kocho is the Insect Pillar of the Demon Slayer Corps in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, created by Koyoharu Gotouge. Born on February 24th, she is 33 years old, 170cm tall and weighs 37kg, making her the shortest among the Pillars. She has shoulder-length wavy hair that ranges from black to dark purple, tied up with a butterfly-shaped ornament, large eyes with a gradient of purple and no visible pupils, pale skin, and always wears a calm and polite smile on the outside while hiding immense anger on the inside. Her parents were killed by a demon when she was a child, and her older sister, Kanae Kocho, who was the Flower Pillar, was also killed by Upper Moon Two Doma, which led her to follow in her sister's footsteps and become a demon slayer. Since she lacks the physical strength to decapitate demons like the other Pillars, she developed the Insect Breathing technique, derived from Water and Flower Breathing, and uses a thin, stinger-shaped sword that injects concentrated wisteria poison, the only plant lethal to demons besides sunlight; she manages the Butterfly Mansion, a recovery center where she treats and trains wounded hunters, and is also an extremely skilled doctor and pharmacist; she adopted and trained Kanao Tsuyuri, whom Kanae had taken in before dying; over months she ingests increasing amounts of wisteria poison to accumulate in her own body a dose equivalent to 70 times the lethal dose for a demon, planning to sacrifice herself to defeat Doma when she finally confronts him in the Infinite Castle, where she is absorbed by him but the poison accumulated in her body destroys her from the inside, allowing Kanao and Inosuke to finish him off; Furthermore, together with Tamayo, he developed the drug that weakens Muzan, dividing its effects into humanization, aging, prevention of cell expansion, and cell destruction, this being a decisive contribution to the final victory even after his death.

He befriends Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira, who become his inseparable companions, and also grows close to Kanao Tsuyuri, whom he later marries; he goes through numerous missions and battles against the Upper Moons, awakens his Hunter Mark, develops a transparent worldview, and in the final battle against Muzan is temporarily transformed into a demon by the Demon King, but thanks to the love and memories of Nezuko and his friends, he manages to return to human form, surviving the journey and living a peaceful life in the future.

Tanjiro Kamado is the protagonist of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, created by Koyoharu Gotouge. Born on July 14th, he was 13 years old at the beginning of the story, 15 during the main journey, and 16 at the end. He is 165cm tall, the eldest son of a family of charcoal sellers who lived in the mountains of Taisho-era Japan. He has black hair with reddish tips, tan skin, deep red eyes, and a scar on the left side of his forehead that initially came from protecting a younger brother from a hot brazier and later transformed into the Demon Slayer Mark. He always wears a black and emerald-green checkered haori inherited from his father, Hanafuda earrings, and his sword is a Nichirin sword that turns black when he receives it. He was a kind and hardworking boy who cared for his family, until one day, returning from selling charcoal in the city, he found all his parents and siblings dead at the hands of the Demon King Muzan Kibutsuji, and only his younger sister Nezuko survived, but she was transformed into a demon; Giyu Tomioka, a Pillar of the Demon Slayer Corps, spared Nezuko and recommended Tanjiro to train with Sakonji Urokodaki, where he learned the Water Breathing technique and passed the Final Selection to become a Demon Slayer, having two main objectives: to find a cure to turn Nezuko human again and to avenge his family by defeating Muzan; he is extremely kind, empathetic, even feeling compassion for demons who were once human, has an extremely keen sense of smell capable of sensing "the scent of truth" and people's emotions, in addition to great willpower and perseverance; He later discovers that his family guards the ritual dance called Hinokami Kagura, which is actually the Sun Breathing, the original breathing style created by Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the strongest of all, and the only one capable of truly hurting Muzan. Therefore, he begins to combine and master both breathing styles, Water and Sun, throughout his battles.

The name Nezuko literally means "daughter of wisteria"—a flower that symbolizes sweetness and strength in Japanese.
The box she uses was made by Urokodaki with special wood that blocks sunlight.
Even as an oni, he maintains the Kamado family's sleep cycle—he sleeps a lot and dreams about his family.
Muzan wanted her alive more than anything—if he had immunity to the sun plus all the powers, he would be invincible.

Life Before the Tragedy
Nezuko was born and raised in the snowy mountains of the Sagiri region, in a humble but extremely close-knit and loving family—the Kamado family. She was the second oldest daughter: the daughter of Tanjuro and Kie Kamado, and sister to Tanjiro (the eldest), Takeo, Hanako, Shigeru, and Rokuta.

As a human, Nezuko was sweet, responsible, selfless, and very hardworking. She helped her mother with household chores, took care of her younger siblings, and always put her family's well-being above her own. She had a generous heart and a rare compassion.

Tanjiro's father died young, forcing him to assume the role of provider, and Nezuko helped in any way she could. They lived in poverty, but happily—until that fateful winter night. The Massacre and the Transformation
One day, while Tanjiro was descending the mountain to sell charcoal in the village, Muzan Kibutsuji, the Demon King, stormed the Kamado family's hut and brutally massacred the entire family—mother, younger siblings, all killed. But Nezuko was spared and injected with Muzan's blood, transforming her into a demon.
When Tanjiro returned, he found everyone dead and Nezuko still alive, but already in the process of transforming. She instinctively attacked him, but something inside her resisted—sisterly love was stronger than her demonic instincts. She stopped and protected him when the Demon Slayer Giyu Tomioka arrived to kill her.
Seeing that Nezuko was still protecting a human and was unlike the other demons, Giyu spared her life and gave Tanjiro a chance: to train to become a Demon Slayer and find a cure for his sister. It was also Giyu who gave Nezuko the bamboo snout so that she wouldn't bite.
