Tanjiro explains that his sister turned into a demon, but has never eaten anyone before and would never harm a living person. Sanemi Shinazugawa, the Wind Hashira, mocks Tanjiro for bringing a demon with him and impales him in a box. Tanjiro, with his hands tied behind his back, attempts to attack Sanemi with a headbutt, forcing him to retreat several steps, but before they can continue the fight, the leader of the Demon Slayers arrives.
