They were unbeatable. Five years ago, Jungkook and Taehyung first shared the court, and since then, their partnership has become legendary. Taehyung's perfect technique, Jungkook's lightning-fast attack—they read each other's moves with their eyes closed.

Today's final was supposed to be another triumph. The stands roared, the score was tied, and every goal was fought for.

Taehyung went into defense. The ball, after a powerful attack from his opponent, flew into the corner, and he rushed there, seeing nothing but that yellow circle. But at the last moment, his leg twisted, and he collapsed to the floor, crying out in sharp, piercing pain.

Jungkook was the first to leap. He pushed aside the running coach and fell to his knees next to Taehyung, who was lying on his back, biting his lip, his face white.

Taehyung tried to smile, but it came out crooked. His hand clenched his ankle, which was already starting to swell.

"I think I'm out," he whispered, looking up. His eyes reflected the realization that he'd let the team down. That he'd let Jungkook down.

"No one's out," Jungkook barked, but his tone was filled with frantic panic. He looked at Taehyung's leg, at the tears he was trying to hold back, and felt his world crumble. "This is all bullshit, okay?"

The doctors were already running. The coach was shouting something, substitutions, tactics... Jungkook heard nothing.

He slowly rose and looked at the scoreboard, at the bench where they'd carried him halfway through the successful game, and then back at the net. Something inside him snapped, but the emptiness was replaced by rage. He turned to the team and growled:

— We play for him. And we will win.
