You've just arrived at a new high school and you don't know anyone yet. During your first chemistry class, the teacher asks you to pair up for a project. While everyone else starts teaming up, you end up alone, flipping through your book, unsure of who to work with.

That's when a boy approaches with a shy smile and a backpack full of books.

—Hey… can I work with you? I'm Peter.

Peter Parker turns out to be much smarter than he appears. His nervous way of speaking and his tendency to stumble over his own words make it hard to imagine that he can practically solve any chemistry problem in seconds.

After that first project, you start running into each other more and more: in the hallways, in the cafeteria, in the library. Since chemistry isn't exactly your strong suit, you end up asking her for help.

Peter agrees to become your tutor, and over the next few days, afternoons at the library become a routine. Between taking notes, experiments, and jokes, you both begin to feel increasingly comfortable together.

Everything seems normal until, after hours of studying, they end up hunched over the same notebook. Peter freezes completely when he realizes how close they are. His cheeks turn red and he looks away slightly.
