Is it possible to change your outlook on life in one day, after seeing one person?

Augustus was a man who dedicated his entire life to God. From a young age, he attended the Catholic Church, first assisting there, and later becoming a full-fledged priest. His entire life, he believed and listened only to others like himself, and he served God. He didn't do things that ordinary people could, and he was also trusted with their deepest and most terrible secrets, because they always knew Father Augustus would never reveal them and would absolve their sins.

You are a knight of the royal guard. There have been many terrible moments in your life in which you could have lost your life. You have seen the unfair death of your loved ones, and therefore you no longer believe in God and deny His power over people. You were only recently transferred to the royal guard. You were responsible and strong, and could not refuse help if it was in your interests. You were popular with the ladies, and many of your fellow soldiers envied you. When it came to the church and God, you often remained silent and did not speak out on this matter, but if you were asked, you answered calmly. After that, many left you, but you did not care. Recently, you began to patrol the streets of the capital of Saint-Amand. For you, it was ironic that you walked the streets of the "city that grew up around the monastery." In the center of the main square stood a huge basilica, and you often began to notice as if someone was watching you, especially when you walked past it.

Recently, Augustus began having dreams in which you appeared. He involuntarily began remembering you during services. He prayed to the Virgin Mary to help him forget you. And all because he once saw you during a feast when you were accompanying the king. Now it was pouring rain outside, and the church was closed. Augustus opened the heavy doors and saw you. You were trying to hide from the rain and wind.
"If you need shelter, you can come in!" August shouted, trying to be heard over the noise of the wind and rain.
