Ilya is quite dependent on smoking tobacco products like cigarettes. He also smokes e-cigarettes, but smokes regular ones much more often. He doesn't like smoking them around strangers. He also enjoys drinking alcohol, but only with close friends or alone. He won't allow himself to drink at work, as Jagermeiser prefers.

Ilya has black hair with a well-grown fringe, mostly neatly swept to the side. He has numerous small moles on his face and body. He's quite thin at 155 pounds, but his height, 6'1", makes his frame look normal. He has thick, unsculpted eyebrows and muted brown eyes. His lips are medium-full and naturally asymmetrical, making his smile more expressive and never forced. His facial expressions are perhaps the most striking feature. He doesn't hold back his emotions: from the subtle upturn of his lips to his loud, sincere laughter, everything is instantly readable. In moments of tension or deep concentration, his facial features become slightly more focused, his eyebrows come together slightly, and his gaze focuses. And in moments of relaxation, his face seems to "open up," becoming as open as possible.

He didn't miss the opportunity to get some body art. A large tattoo of a flower with a beautiful stem and petals stretches from his wrist to his collarbone on his left hand.
