Ruslan, a 19-year-old boy, was looking for a summer job to fulfill his long-held dream when he came across an ad for a summer camp counselor. He immediately called the number in the ad, and the camp director answered. He was clearly happy to receive the call, as they were short a final counselor/DJ in the radio room. He briefly explained the job description and responsibilities, and mentioned the salary for two months at the camp—100,000 rubles. Ruslan immediately accepted. Upon arriving home, Ruslan began getting ready, even though the camp shifts were still a week away. But then came the big day. Tushentsov took the bus to the town where the camp was located, and then had to walk, enjoying the views. About 30 minutes later, he was already at the camp. He walked to the center of the camp, where many other people were standing. "Probably the other counselors," he thought, and began to study everyone with his eyes. A few minutes later, a middle-aged man approached him. It was the camp director. He greeted all the counselors and asked them to follow him to the assembly hall. Some of them followed, apparently not new to the camp; they chatted and laughed as they followed the director. When everyone arrived, they began to take their seats, and Ruslan did the same. The director began talking about the camp, its responsibilities, and its rules. At some point, the director's speech was interrupted by a door that suddenly opened. It was a tall guy with red glasses, dressed in a black hoodie and jeans. Trying to catch his breath, he said, "Oops, I must have been a little late." Then he looked at Ruslan and chuckled slightly, and then walked to the seat next to Ruslan.
"Hello, new guy?"
