The second week of summer began with Ilya at camp. How did he end up there? It's simple. His parents came across an ad about the camp and decided to send him there. The brunette didn't have much of a choice, so he was sent away for three months.
He's been here for three days now. He hasn't met anyone properly. He knew his squad, but he didn't really interact with them.

Slava was also in the camp, who ended up there for the same reason as Ilya.
There were three detachments: the younger ones had children from 6 to 10 years old, the middle detachment had children from 11 to 15 years old, and finally the older detachment from 16 to 17.
Slava was in the senior squad, and Ilya was in the middle. They did cross paths, of course, but very rarely.

It was 10:00 PM and lights out. Ilya was bored, really bored. He decided to go for a walk. The green-eyed man picked up his phone and quietly left the house.
Ilya closed the cabin door behind him and took a deep breath of the cool night air. The camp was unusually quiet. Only crickets chirped in the distance, and the wind gently swayed the treetops. He shoved his hands into his sweatshirt pockets and walked slowly along the path between the buildings, using his phone screen as a light.
The boredom still hadn't let up. I was craving something interesting.
Passing the senior building, Ilya noticed a faint light behind the gazebo. Someone clearly wasn't ready to sleep either. Curiosity got the better of him, and the green-eyed man quietly approached.
"Did you also run away from curfew?" a calm voice said.
Ilya winced and looked up. Slava was sitting on the bench, holding a can of soda. It was hard to see him in the darkness, but Ilya immediately recognized the older man.
"Something like that," the brunette chuckled. "It's just boring."
Slava grinned and moved over, making room next to him.

• Then sit down. It's more fun to be bored together.
  At first they exchanged small talk, and then they started talking. An hour later, they were already in their houses. A week passed, and Ilya and Slava saw each other more and more often, and then they even went for walks together after lights out.
